Chapter 9: Continuing The Adventure

It was morning (I think) as the light that shown through the living room window was reflecting off of the tv due the curtains being open and bounced right into Y/n's closed eyes, which made him groan in discomfort as he shielded if eyes with his arm.

He then began to regain his senses and started to smell something delicious in the air, it smelled like breakfast but the last time he checked, they had no breakfast foods.

So he slowly opened his eyes and moved his hand away and in front of him was Chara who was only a few inches away from his face. This surprised him which caused him to fall off the couch and land on the floor... hard.

Chara then floated to the floor, got eye level with him and with a smile she said,

Chara: "Wakey wakey, eggs and bacie."

He looked at her face and said,

Y/n: "Five more minutes."

Then he laid his cheek on the floor and started to nap again which caused Chara to pout and said,

Chara: "Ok, but don't take too long, you still have an adventure to go on and many more friends to make."

Y/n heard this and quietly said,

Y/n: "Ok Chara, *Yawn*."

And with that he fell asleep again.

Chara then floated all the way down to the ground and laid there, staring at him sleep as she watched him breath softly and peacefully.

When it felt like five minutes had passed, Chara was still staring at him while he slept until she looked at the clock that was hung poorly on the wall and saw that in actuality thirty minutes had passed.

Chara then looked back at Y/n and started to poke his cheek. On the first poke, Y/n lightly swatted her hand away and went back to sleep.

She tried again and poked his cheek once more, causing him to raise his head, open his eyes and come face to face with a smiling Chara who then said,

Chara: "Good, your finally awake! Now come on let's go to Grillby's and get some grub so you can feel energized for your adventure today!"

After she said this, Y/n wanted to go back to sleep but Chara wouldn't take no for an answer a second time, so she got up and started to lightly kick him in the head, which wasn't enough to hurt him, but it was enough to annoy him, and it was making his head move slightly from side to side with each light kick.

Y/n: "Mmmm..... Chara stop it."

He said as he tried to fall asleep again.

Chara: "Not until you get up for the day."

Y/n then groaned once more as he had to accept his defeat and get up for the day. So he told her that he would get up and she stopped her annoying kicking and then he got off of the floor and stretched his whole body out, making all of his bones crackle and pop loudly.

They then heard loud gasps and yelling from the kitchen. They both ran to the kitchen to see Papyrus in an apron while wearing a chefs hat screaming. Sans was on the dining table and screaming, while Frisk was no where to be seen.

Y/n looked at the food that Papyrus was 'cooking' and saw that it was all burnt to a crisp while the pan was on fire.

With a panicked expression on his face he did what first came to mind. He grabbed one of Papyrus' 'Cool Dude' Oven mitts, put it on, grabbed the pan and ran outside with it.

Once he reached the outside with the pan, he slammed the side with the charred remains of the food into the snow to put out the fire.

It sizzled and popped as the snow under it began to melt under it. Y/n looked back into the house and yelled,
