9th day of July 2020

Unrequited
by yours truly

When I was left alone along the rain,
You grabbed my hand along with my pain,
Run like there is no end,
And utter the word stay so I'm no longer scared.

The times I can't hide my own tears,
Wiped your handkerchief on my cheeks,
Lay my head on your shoulder,
Comfort me and I feel like I'm bolder.

That scent you always wear,
And the smiles, I want to stare,
Your voice I wanted to hear,
Like I am the only girl you care.

Waited for hours to confess my affection,
You didn't came, leaving me with dissatisfaction,
And slap me with such realization.

I unwind myself from disappointment,
My gaze found you with a touch of happiness,
You were not alone like I used to be,
Wiped her tears too, like what you did onto me,
And hugged her tightly when she said yes,
Hold onto her hand running, cause it rains,
Along the rain are tears of a girl standing,
She was left alone again,
Yes, I was left hanging.
