Chapter 14 - Never Again

CALLUM MCCOY 

Cal sat in his car in the parking lot of the run down motel and then banged his head on the steering wheel. If anyone passed by saw, they would sure think he had lost it. But how could he not. How can a kid survive five years of rape. Abuse of that kind... Cal took in a shaky breath. There was no way he would forgive her family. There's definitely no way he was letting her brothers just go by. 

After what she had said, Cal was going to solve this, his way. His way was bad, his way put him on bad terms with everyone. His way definitely was everything that went against his ethics he had set forth when he started his life afresh. But the people of this kind aren't human. 

Cal pulled his car in the driveway and turned around. 

After what she had said, he had quietly pulled back and then went into a rage fit. rather than breaking things he decided it was good to just pound those two to death. After all he knew where they were staying.

On his drive he had cooled down considerably, but the plan that formed in his mind later on, that what made his head reel. 

He fished his phone out and called Joel. 

"What now?" 

"I'm giving you the green light. Dig in and find everything there is you can find on her." 

When Joel didn't reply with anything Cal worried that he would soon face another rage-fit. 

"What the fuck did you do?" 

"I already did my research." 

Cal took a calming breath. "After I told you not to." 

"I needed to know who she is and if she poses a threat to you. You're my family Cal and I won't sit back and let a woman ruin what you have now." 

"So is she gonna ruin it? tell me Joel. Tell me how much of a bitch she is" 

"Did you know that she's never had any kind of relationship with a guy. Even when she was with Sean Hunt, she cheated on him." 

"Tell me something Joel, how far back did you go?" 

"However far back I could, which puts me at, 13 years ago." 

"How is it that a great hacker such as you, couldn't find anything on a simple Hollywood star other than ragtag gossips." 

"These are not ragtag gossips." he said through gritted teeth. 

"C'mon Joel, are you saying that you can't find anything on her beyond what's on the internet." 

"You're provoking me." Joel warned. 

"You're damn fucking right I'm provoking you. You have no idea, who she is but you're still blabbing on and on about a woman who, let me repeat again, you don't know." 

Joel stayed silent and that put Cal on alert. Joel was never silent. Joel going quiet was in itself, pretty dangerous. 

"What are you thinking?" 

"I couldn't find any records before 2006. She suddenly popped out and started to appear on television, doing ads and modelling for a couple of designers. She landed a soap opera and from there she was picked up for the movies. She wasn't picky, not at first. She's done some real shitty movies. She's done all of them from the worst of the stories to art films. But it seems she met Sean, and after that she went from Bollywood to Hollywood." 

"I don't want to know what's already available on the internet. Try hacking into the local police records." 

"Umm..."
