The wind rustled through the trees as you and Levi sat around the campfire, occasionally having to change seats to avoid getting the smoke directly in your eyes. It had been oddly quiet for a long while. You and Levi hadn't said a word to each other until he finally broke the silence.

"You-... are you still mad at me?" He asked, looking up at you from the other side of the fire. You glanced back at him, and with a sigh, you stood up. You walked over to the other side of the fire and sat down beside Levi. Pinching the bridge of your nose, you answered, "I'm not mad at you, and I never was..."

"... I was worried." You whispered, slightly turning your gaze towards the ground. "Tch. I see..." Levi responded, looking away, seemingly unfazed by your attempt to let him know you care. It could have been the glowing light from the fire, but you could've sworn he was slightly blushing.

It got quiet again, and you felt like you should have said something, you just didn't know what to say. You sat in a comfortable silence until Levi sat back, leaning on his arms, his right hand being right beside your left one. Although you couldn't see much in the dark, you did notice all of the little scars and scratches on Levi's hand. There was one scar, one bigger and much more visible than the others, that caught your attention.

"How'd you get that?" You asked, softly stroking a finger across his scar. Levi moved his hand away and seemed hesitant about answering at first. "A tree... I accidentally scratched myself on a tree about a year ago."

"That's... kinda lame." You laughed, looking away.

"Yeah? Well, what's your story?" Levi huffed, pointing out one of your own scars that went across your outer forearm. "I'm... I'm not sure, if I'm being honest." You said with a hint of a smile on your face. "That's not fair. If I have to tell an embarrassing story of how I got a scar, you also have to." Levi complained.

"Well... I did accidentally bite my lip once... and it left a permanent mark."

"I've noticed." The ravenette said, poking your lip where the small scar was. "Is it that visible..?" You asked, surprised he had noticed without you mentioning it to him.

"No, not really. Only... only if you look closely..." Levi answered, only whispering the last part, but still loud enough for you to hear, and looked back at the scar. The scar was barely visible and it was indeed surprising that he had managed to notice it. "Then how did you notice it?" You asked quietly.
