The Date

We got ready and were headed to the place i know she'll love. We drove into the calm night and stopped after a while at our destination, it was a hill deserted full of trees and have an amazing view over the city. I got the picnic basket and locked the door then we sat down under the tree and looked at the view.
"it's amazing here and the view is.... Wow" she said amazed
I smiled "it's my favorite spot no one knows it and i come here whenever I want to think. It reminds me of my dad we used to go hiking together on weekends or fishing sometimes but we weren't able to get at least one fish. That was until he passed away last year, i was legally capable of staying alone plus i didn't have anyone or anywhere to go to." she gently grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together. I poured 2 glass of orange juice and handed her one," i know it's not the typical drink for a date but it's easier to make and healthier😉." she laughed and drank.
"so tell me more about you, anything you want." i said turning toward her and focusing only on her.
"ummm, I'm nothing special really. I grew up most of my life alone even when my father was alive we weren't really close but we got along. My mom died when I was 3, i don't remember her well but I know she loved from the stories that my dad used to tell me. My dad died 5 years ago and I am living in hell since then, every day is a challenge and I fear it'll be my last. I love playing basketball and dancing. "
I was shocked to hear that's her life and i couldn't bare to see her sad face so to turn the mood i got up and offered her a hand
" would you honor me with this dance? "

" but their isn't any song to dance "she said while placing her hand in mine. I opened the passenger seat and turned on the radio then turned to her.
" now you were saying? "
We danced and laughed and drank until a slow song came up and I placed my hands on her waist while her hands wrapped around my neck and our forehead touching and swayed to the music.
When the song ended with eyes filled with tears and said
" I'm sorry I can't do it, I'll accept anything but i can't go threw it." she said crying now.
I was confused so i asked her " what are you talking about, what were you going to do?"
"i am so so so sorry, he forced me to get close to you for when the time's right he can use you to get back at your mother because she is an important person. But I swear i didn't want that i was afraid of him because i witnessed him kill my father and i an just a pawn to him to use as ge please. He'll hit me then kill me when he knows I'm out but i am starting to fall for you and i can't let him hurt you. " she said while crying.
I was stunned" when did he tell you that? "
" remember when you saw me in the gym few days ago crying? He told me two days before the gym accident, i was remembering my father his face how much he had to suffer then die in my arms and i had to watch without being able to help. " she fell to her knees and cried her eyes out.
I was silent thinking of everything said, i was pulled out of my mind when I saw her getting up to leave. Quickly i reached out to her and span her to me and hugged her tight,
" shhhhh.... Shhhh just stop, everything is fine don't cry you couldn't do anything about it. Thank you for telling, don't blame yourself for it we're in this together we'll figure it out, promise plus I am starting to fall for you too." she looked at me with a smile and hope in her eyes, to make a point i leaned in and kissed her, it took her a couple of seconds to register what happened then she kissed me back urgently. We broke the kiss when we both needed air our foreheads touching and our eyes closed. I guided her to sit with me, she sat between my legs leaning backwards into me under the tree. We stayed like that still sunrise then we got ready and headed home.
