"do you think she'll be able to forgive us for doing this to her?"
"i don't know sweetheart but I just hope she can, because i miss my little girl and wish to hold her once again". I heard faint voices around me, i wanted to open my eyes but it hurts so much. I heard the door close then silent i assum that they left, i went to feel my surroundings and my hand landed on someone's head. The person didn't move, i tried to open my eyes slowly the light was too bright so i closed them again and tried another time and succeeded. It was Sasha who's sleeping beside me she looked tired so i just watched her while running my fingers through her soft hair. After some time, the door opened and their she was standing their shocked written on her face and was standing at the door. Our eyes met and she started crying, she ran all the way to me and hugged me tight i returned the Hug as tightly as I could possibly can. No word was said we cried together and held each other, refusing to let her go after all this time i said weakly "i remember everything." those three words did it she broke down crying harder than before and i tried to calm her down. After some time she calmed down and let go of me and dried her tears, and said "I'll come back after I get her here."
I understood who she was referring to and i nodded in response.
After she left i turned my eyes to sasha who was still sleeping, i smiled at her and whispered making sure not to startle her
. "hey sleepy head wake up" i shook her gently and she started to wake up. Once she was up she thought she was dreaming so she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, when she reopened them it took her a couple of seconds to register what was happening her eyes widened and she shot up nd hugged me tight. I hugged her back and took her scent in to calm myself down,
"i missed you so much, i though that I lost you and i couldn't forgive myself if something was to happen to you because of me" she said while crying on my shoulder.
"Hey sweetheart calm down, i am awake and that's all That matters plus it would take a lot more to get rid of me. I promise I'm not going anywhere." we stayed like that for a while, she was letting go but I didn't want to so I dragged her down to me, That wasn't a smart move because it hurts like hell i hissed in pain and she quickly got up to check up on me.
She asked alerted " where does it hurt? Should I get the doctor? Are you okay?" i smiled at her and when she saw me smile she stopped "why are you smiling?" she asked curious.
I made space for her next to me and gestured for her to get in bed with me she hesitated at first but then she layed beside me her heas on my shoulder and a hand around my waist while being careful not to hurt me. "Are you okay sweetheart? Are you hurt anywhere?" i gently asked her while playing with her hair recalling the night she got hurt. " you're the one in a hospital bed and just woke up from a coma and all you care about is if I'm okay?". She asked in disbelief, i kissed her head and said" All i care right now is to know that your fine and nothing hurts then I'll think about myself, you sweetheart come first." she turned to me and kissed me, the kiss was sweet and perfect. After a few kisses later we rested our foreheads together when suddenly the door opened. Sasha got up in record time while blushing hard she excused herself and went to the cafeteria to get something to drink. Their she stood by my side of the bed like she was afraid of my reaction, i opened my arms for her and she hugged me. For the first time in years I felt whole again,
" hey mom, i miss you" i whispered in her ear and she froze " i remember mom, everything the accident and my childhood, but their is still something i can't understand why you left and dad never told me anything." i said curious as to why she left. She let go of me and shared a quick glance with Claire who was nodding encouraging her to talk. She took a deep breath and said " i left you because you were hurt and needed medical attention and i needed to leave immediately. Your father stayed with you and your sister came with me all those years we were separated i had someone report to me everything about your life, you don't know how much i wanted to just hold you close to me and be the shoulder you cry on but i couldn't. Your father's death " she took a deep breath and continued." Your father's death was not an accident, it was a warning for me to back down from my power and be at the mercy of a man who doesn't have a heart and all he wants waa power to destroy everything that he does not like. After that I considered to back down but i knew i couldn't no matter what i can't or the world won't be as it is now, so i assigned 3 persons to protect you and report to me. "i instantly knew who she was talking about, so that's their job all along. She cuts my thoughts by continuing " but I didn't know who to trust until i knew that you have 3 friends, i talked to them they knew how dangerous it was and still agreed to protect you and to keep it a secret. I don't know what happened between you 4, but I hope that it can be fixed because they love you with all their hearts and i knew something is wrong when i didn't hear from any of them that's when i knew that you knew a part of the truth. I knew that it would be a matter of time time before something something bad happened the moment you stepped inside my office before the end of the year. "
After that no one talked, so they weren't using me but instead protecting me and i didn't let them defend themselves. On the other hand kate did hurt me a lot, I knew the feeling wasn't mutual but I wasn't expecting that. Sensing my discomfort and confusion Claire brought me back out of my thoughts by placing her hand on my shoulder. I smiled at her and she sat down beside me on the bed, " I understand mom, i missed you."
"I missed you too sweetie." she kissed my head and smiled down at me. The door opened and their they are standing behind Sasha afraid of entering, i gesture them to enter. Mom and Claire left to give us some time alone and Sasha went to leave but I grabbed her arm and shook my head no she sat down back again.
"hey Amy how are you feeling?" asked lili in an uncertain voice. I smiled at her, i missed having my best friend around and her silliness. "I'm fine sweetheart thank you for asking." that did it her smile grew bigger and she was like kid who won the lottery. Ellie smiled softly at me while Kate was feeling uncomfortable and was nervous, "hey Kate how are you doing?" she finally looked at me, her eyes were teary and she was on verge of crying.
" Ummm.... I want to say that I am sorry for the way I treated you and for what i said to you. I know i hurt you and it wasn't right. I know now everything and I am sorry for everything that happened i truly am i just hope you can forgive me." i smiled at her and said " i do forgive you Kate, you didn't want to believe it because you like him and maybe loved him but i understand why you did it. "
she smiled" so are we friends again? "
I shook my head no and her smile fell" oh okay well umm i hope you get better and I'm sorry for everything. " she was preparing to leave when i reached out to her and grabbed her hand gently preventing her from leaving.." Where are you going? "i asked her with a smile, ellie understood what i was doing and she was glaring at me at that i chuckled softly and nodded my head." i thought you don't won't me here you just said that you didn't want to be friends. "she said confused i gestured them to come closer and i hugged all 3 of them.
" Why become friends when we are already best friends? " they smiled and hugged me tighter. I looked at sasha and she was smiling too in that moment i knew that everything will be okay from now on.
