The Trio's Reunion

KATE P.O.V 

I woke up this morning with lea's head on my chest and her arms around me, she looked so peaceful. I played with her hair, it was smooth and covering her beautiful face. A few minutes later, she started to stir and i watched her mesmerized by her.
"morning beautiful." i said while kissing her head.
"good morning." she said sleepily.
" how are you feeling today, did you sleep well?"
"I am better than yesterday and yes I slept like a baby thank you." we got up from bed and headed down to the kitchen after getting dressed up for the day. I made bacon, eggs, some coffee and grabbed some juice just in case she doesn't drink coffee. "so are you ready to go to your house today? If not you can always stay here and if you like i can accompany you to your house for moral support." i said while preparing my coffee.
" thank you for the whole thing, yesterday was just what I needed plus you're practically my hero. " she said smiling.
We ate in a comfortable silent once we finished, i cleaned everything and prepared myself to drive her home.. I drove her home then went to my ex-best friends house to apologize and hope they can forgive me for my stupidity and stubbornness.

I arrived and knocked on her door, i waited anxious for what's about to happen. The door opened and their stood ellie anger flashed in her eyes when she saw me she asked angrily
"

what are you doing here?"
"before you close the door in my face, please just listen to me. I'm sorry I shouldn't have believed him over you, you were and still are my best friends. Please ellie your the rational one, i know i made a mistake and i intend to make it up to you." i pleaded with tears forming in my eyes.
" babe who's on the door " their stood lili shock anger sadness and hate all those emotions flashed in her eyes.
" babe what are you doing talking to her? "she went to close the door but ellie grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back.
" babe calm down, deep breath i know what she did was wrong but let's hear what she has to say okay? You won't have to talk if you don't want to" ellie said gently to her. "okay"
We entered the house and we sat on opposite sides.
" i know that what I did was wrong and it costed me my friendship with my best friends, there's no excuse for my action. I just wanted to believe so bad that he couldn't do such a horrible thing and I convinced myself that i was right, but deep down I guess i knew you wouldn't do or say anything to harm me. Yesterday I witnessed it and i was so angry at him for doing such thing and for the most part i was and still angry at myself for not believing you. I took the girl to my house and helped her calm down, i prevented him from going further. I Will fill a complaint against him and will get everyone to witness against him in a court. "
By the end of my speech we were all in tears and Lili was hugging ellie tight and couldn't talk, it was the first time I saw her like that. I wanted to get close to her and comfort her but didn't know if she would let me. I stayed in my place and looked at ellie who seems to be having a hard time calming a sobbing lili.
"it's time." i heard ellie say
"no, i don't want to." lili refused determined not to talk.
"we have to babe, we promised remember?". Ellie asked her at that lili softened then said in a whisper " okay."
I was confused and waited for someone to explain things, ellie seems to notice my discomfort and said " remember the day you accused Amy of lying about your boyfriend to get with you.?"
I nod slowly, she continued "that wasn't the case as you figured out. We were dancing that night and Amy wanted to take a break and to make sure everyone was okay and not drunk, she headed upstairs and went to relax when she was welcomed by a sight i wish i could forget. Your ex was trying to get in lili's pants while his friends were their few were watching and others were helping. "
lili hugged ellie tighter as if she was reliving the event and ellie's comfort is helping her.
" Amy immediately ran to the rescue, she took them out like nothing until jake tried to touch Amy she then lost it and finished him. I was paralyzed and couldn't do anything, amy then ran and carried lili bridal style to the car and i was right behind her. We took off to her house, she cleaned lili and let her sleep in her bed we talked about the accident and she made us promise not to say anything to you especially about it because she was right nothing was as before. She didn't sleep that night just to make sure we were all right and coping, lili was drugged  and when she woke up she was crying, amy comforted her and then slept. The next day she was the one who was capable of helping me calm down an hyperventilating lili and made us our favorites and took care of us "

By the time she was finished I was braking down, not only i hurt the person I was supposed to protect but I didn't consider my friends and weren't able to help them when needed.
I got up and went to sit beside them
I hugged them tight while repeating "I'm so sorry i wasn't there for you, I'm sorry."
We cried together and after we calmed down, "what happened to Amy?" their was no response and I was growing impatient
" guys?!"    suddenly lili spoke " we don't know, we haven't heard from her since the time you blew up, accused her of harassment and since you told her that she was nothing but a job and a freak. I went to see her and explain everything to her but she wasn't home she wasn't picking up her phone and I missed her return because the next thing I knew was that I woke up in her guest room with my breakfast prepared and no amy in the house. She left a letter in which she was very clear that she was gone and to forget her and that our job was successfully done. "

No on spoke" it's all my fault, I'm sorry about everything. I promise I'll try and fix it. " i grabbed the phone and dialed Amy's number, no one responded so i tried again this time it was Julie who responded and i knew i was screwed but I was determined to talk to her" hello Mrs. principal, can I speak to Amy please it's important. "
" i don't think so. "she said with her cold voice that send chills down my spin.
" please i just want to talk if she doesn't want to see me after this, i promise she won't. "
She cuts me off saying" you Can't talk to her about anything no one can because she's in surgery she's been shot. "
"WHAT? WHEN? HOW? I'm on my way" with that i turned of my phone and got up ready to go, ellie and Lili got up without knowing what happened so i turned towards them " guys.... We are going to the hospital because apparently Amy was shot." their face paled but they said nothing. We arrived to the hospital just in time to hear what the doctor has to say
