HAROU MURAKAMI VS. KEIKO ROTASU
Keiko smirked. She had heard of the clan before and apparently they were gold style users. They were a powerful clan, and Keiko was looking forward to the challenge. He arrived two days ago, damaged badly, holding both scrolls, and carrying the bodies of his teammates. They only let him pass because there might have been an uneven amount of candidates.
Of course, as excited as she was, she just wanted to get away from Hayate. Harou, who was on the other side of her, seemed to be excited as well. He had been mourning for not taking care of his teammates well. But now he seemed determined, like he wasn't going to let anyone stop him.
"Uhh.." Hayate began. "All right then, we will begin the first battle. Everyone other than the two opposing candidates, please move to the upper area."
Everyone began to walk up the stairs, and Aoki shot her the 'You better win' glare. Keiko rolled her eyes then began to walk towards Hayate. As much as she didn't like it, she had to. Harou began to walk there too with his back straight. Before Keiko could reach Hayate she felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Kankuro there, a smile playing on his face.
"Good luck." he smiled.
Before he could leave Keiko said, "Three seconds."
He turned around, "Huh?"
She said nothing else, then began to walk towards Hayate again. She faced Harou who had a smirk on his face.
"Just to let you know, I'm not going to loose." Harou announced. "I will win, believe it or not."
Keiko said nothing and kept her cold expression on. She felt peoples gaze on her, but especially Sasuke. Rotasu was her fake last name since she knew everyone knew of the Uchiha clan. And she also knew that she wouldn't be able to use her sharingan.
"Okay." he coughed, making Keiko cringe.
He then jumped back. Harou's smirk was gone. It was replaced with a angry expression in his eyes, and his teeth were grit. Keiko activated her Mangekyou knowing no one from the Leaf Village would know what it was. Well, except maybe for Kakashi. Though she knew that even he didn't understand the properties of it.
Kankuro widened his eyes, "Keiko! You can't use it! It's too danger-"
"I'll be fine, Kankuro." she shouted back at him.
"But-"
Keiko gave him the glare, causing him to sigh in defeat. Gaara looked at Keiko's eyes. He had never seen them before. What exactly were they? And why was Kankuro so afraid?
That sharingan... Sasuke thought, his eyes wide as well. Could it be? But when...
The Hyuga boy activated his byakugan and looked at Keiko, noticing the immense chakra in her body. Her chakra was so large, it was almost hard to believe it was real.
"The first match," Hayate announced. "Begin."
The two opponents could feel the adrenaline running through their veins, though Keiko seemed as calm as ever. She jumped back a bit and began to form some hand signs then put two fingers in front of her mouth. A huge fireball erupted, and she jumped up into the air.
"1."
She then felt herself standing in midair, with no ground beneath her.
"2."
She sent a wave of kunai with paperbombs on the edges of them flying into the fireball as she closed her right eye.
"3."
Blood went down Keiko's left eye as black flames surrounded the fireball. A big explosion erupted, making smoke fill the room. Coughs were heard as Keiko deactivated her Mangekyou and fell back onto the floor on her feet. She was probably the only one who wasn't coughing. Her eye hurt as well, and her vision was worse. As the smoke faded away she wiped the blood of her eye with the back of her glove so no one would suspect anything.
Once the smoke faded away, Hayate's cough could be heard again. He bent down on the body in the middle of the room, putting his hand on the chest of Harou. There was a faint pulse, but the boy was definitely passed out. There was melted gold around his body, and he probably tried to protect himself.
He coughed, "The winner of this match, Keiko Rotasu. And next time, please use the arena."
People began to murmur to each other while others widened their eyes. Keiko started up the stairs, satisfied with her round. Once she reached the sand siblings she leaned on the railing next to Kankuro. Aoki stood behind her not even the slightest bit impressed. It was as if this was just a glimpse of her power, which it was.
"Don't you think you overdid it?" Temari said, shooing away the remaining smoke from her face.
"I just needed to make sure the job was done." Keiko responded, pulling out the senbon with a broken bell.
Gaara watched her with interest. Never before had he seen Keiko fight, not even once. She had shown him her puppet collection when they were younger but that was it.
Sasuke stared at his sister with disbelief. She had finished the round..in three seconds? How was that even possible?!
Kankuro sighed. He didn't like it when Keiko used her Mangekyou. It caused her lots of pain and headaches. She seemed to have no struggle going up the stairs but still, the overuse of it will really make her fully-blind one day. Or so he thought.
"Good job, Keiko." Baki, the sand siblings sensei, complimented, though his expression didn't really show that he meant it.
Aoki rolled his eyes, "Whatever.."
Baki and Aoki were second cousins but were never close. They talked only because their students liked to train with each other a lot. Of course, Aoki didn't like Keiko, but Baki saw her as a great ninja with lots of potential in front of her.
"The next round's about to begin." Temari pointed out, and everyone turned back to the arena.
They looked back up at the screen and saw the next to opponents.
YOROI AKADO VS. SASUKE UCHIHA
I guess going first runs in the family. Keiko thought. But I'll have to admit, I'd like to see just how much Sasuke has grown.
. . .
Hey guys! Sorry for the short chapter. I was inspired by Sarada's round versus Tarui, and wanted to do it here. Ya know, so it kinda makes a connection :) And yes, Harou and his clan are made up. Anyways I hope you enjoyed, and please vote!
