Still in shock, you stood in the shower quietly, letting the warm water run down your head. It was unusual for you to be awake this early, but due to the phone call, you knew you wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. The water helped you wake up, but even after eating a hearty breakfast with a freshly brewed cup of coffee, you were still a little groggy when Morgan texted you that she had just had a weird dream.
Instead of replying to her text, you decided to call her on the phone to tell her the news of your job offer.
"Hello?" Morgan moaned after the phone rang 4 times. "Why are you calling so early?"
"Um......so I have some news," you hesitate, "I might be going to Korea."
"WHAT?" you almost throw your phone due to the sudden exclamation and squeal. "You got the job????"
"Yeah, I thought you should be the first to know," You scratch your head, thinking about how you are going to tell your parents that you are going to work in a country almost halfway around the world.
"So wait, you haven't told your parents?" Morgan hums. "Aw, I'm so excited for you! You better give me all the deets about all the K-pop idols that you'll be talking to!"
"Morgan, I don't even know what company I am going to work for. It might be some really small company, plus they want me to work with the trainees. I doubt I will ever meet any of the debuted idols of the company," You sigh, secretly hoping that the reason they didn't disclose what company the job is for was due to it being a very large, popular company like JYP or SM.
"Dude, you never know," Morgan replied. "And when you get a boyfriend, I better be the first to know!"
"Morgan!" You scold. "You know that is not why I'm going."
"Hey, the guys there are really hot though." If Morgan were talking to you face to face, she would probably be winking at you right now. "It'll be a reason for me to come visit you."
"Oh goodness," you roll your eyes.
"Hey girl, as much as I love talking to you, I haven't gotten to eat yet, so I'm going to go." Morgan comments. "I'm so excited for you. I will drop by to help you decide what to bring with you. It's about time we do a thorough haul through your closet anyway."
"Alright, but text me before you come over, please." You plead. Morgan had a habit of coming over unannounced, sometimes when your place was a complete mess.
"Of course," she ends the call, and you take a deep breath before sitting back down on your bed.
But you still haven't told your parents. You decided to wait on it a bit being they lived in Chicago, and you doubted they were awake.
Laying down on your bed, you pondered how you would tell the news.
