Chapter 3

Sparrow sighed in pleasure as Elliot took his hand as they left his cabin. Sparrow was going to show his mate around the pack hoping that he would consider staying. Sparrow knew that if Elliot left he would follow him but he hoped there wouldn't be a need to do that. His wolf knew that he belonged with his mate too.

"So where are we going first," Elliot asked as Sparrow led him away from his cabin. 

"Omega Village, I want to introduce you to my uncles" Sparrow replied as he spotted the rows of homes where most of the pack's omegas lived with there mates and pups. 

"You have a village of Omega's" Elliot questioned his eyebrows shooting up in surprise. 

"Yeah they all came before I was even born, my dad and the previous alpha rescued them from a very bad situation" Sparrow explained smiling softly at Elliot who gave him a confused look. 

"What about your uncles," Elliot asked slightly unsure. 

"My uncle Greyson is from the hillclaw pack, my uncle Nicholas found him on a business trip and they fell in love. It's a beautiful story" Sparrow sighed as they entered into omega village where many of the families were playing in their gardens. 

After that, they fell into a comfortable silence as Sparrow led his mate towards Nicholas and Greyson's house. He wanted to let them meet his mate after all they had done for him when he was a child. They may be omega's but they knew how to fight and defend the pack. The one incident no one knew is that Greyson and Nicholas had killed a rogue who had attacked him. Sparrow was grateful that they didn't bring it up because the rogue had stolen something from him that he wanted to give his mate. 

Shaking his head to get rid of those depressing thoughts Sparrow grinned as he spotted his uncles playing wolf tag with their youngest child. The game was something he had not played in a long time as he had been busy. They were toppling over each other with playful growls and happy yips. 

"Hi, uncles, hey Kurt" Sparrow called as he opened the gate to their garden causing all three of their heads to turn in his direction. 

He should have been prepared for the resulting wolf pile but they still knocked him on his ass. The only silver lining Sparrow could see was that he got to here Elliots laugh. He found the sound beautiful, haunting and lilting at the same time. 

"I'm glad to see you guys too but if we could talk in human form" Sparrow chuckled causing all three omega's to stop snuggling into him. 

"They sure seem lively" Elliot laughed as the omegas ran inside to shift and put clothes on. 

"Yeah, they are always full of energy when they have a day off" Sparrow replied chuckling as Nicholas and Greyson came charging at them with a teenage Kurt in tow. 

"Sparrow, its been over a week, we're hurt you usually visit sooner" Greyson cried in mock hurt placing his hand over his heart. 

"Sorry, I have been pre-occupied I would like you all to meet my mate Elliot" Sparrow responded timidly before motioning towards Elliot hoping he could change the subject quickly. 

"Oh it's so good to meet you, Elliot, I'm Nicholas and this is Greyson," Nicholas said stepping forward and offering a had for Elliot to shake.   

Sparrow grinned as Elliot reached out and shook Nicholas' hand before doing the same with Greyson. His wolf rumbled in happiness as Elliot turned his head and smiled at Sparrow. 

"Do you two want to stay for lunch?" Greyson asked and Sparrow could practically see the omega's tail wagging. 

"Maybe another day I want to introduce Elliot to Uncle Elijah and Aunt Jasmine," Sparrow said declining Greyson's offer. 

"Well the offer is always their boys, don't be strangers now" Nicholas spoke patting them both on the shoulder and shooing them towards Elijah's home. 

Sparrow said his goodbyes and started to lead his mate towards the previous alphas home, as they got closer Sparrow noticed a difference in Elliot's behaviour. It was as if his mate was afraid which Sparrow didn't understand. Why would his mate be afraid of an alpha?

"Are you alright Elliot?" Sparrow asked as Elliot's heartbeat started to become erratic.

"Your Uncle, he's an alpha isn't he" Elliot whimpered his eyes flashing gold as his wolf surged forward in his mind. 

"Yes, Elliot what's wrong, what's happening" Sparrow cried as he noticed that Elliot's wolf had taken him over in his panic. 

"My human has suffered enough at the hands of an alpha, I will not let another hurt him" Elliot's wolf growled the sound wild and guttural.  

"I will not hurt your human" Elijah spoke as he stepped out of his house to address Sparrow's mate as Sparrow was at a loss for what to do. 

"Why should I trust you" Elliot's wolf snarled snapping his teeth at the alpha in a warning not to move any closer. 

"Would your mate bring you here if he didn't think you were safe" Elijah asked causing Elliot's wolf to tilt his head in confusion before he let Elliot regain control. 

"Are you okay now?" Sparrow asked as he pulled Elliot into his chest to offer his mate comfort. 

"Yeah I'm good, It's just after spending a year in wolf form it is easier for my wolf to take over in order to protect me" Elliot explained leaning against Sparrow as his chest rose and fell before his eyes met Elijahs. 

"Why don't you take your mate for a run and we can do introductions once he's calm" Elijah suggested seeing the distrust in Elliot's eyes. It made him wonder what the delta had been through. 

"Yes, Uncle" Sparrow agreed before stepping out of his clothes and shifting. 

Watching as Elliot did the same Sparrow had to fight back his desire. Now was not the time he had to help Elliot calm down. The fear that was rolling of his mate was thick in the air and was making Sparrows wolf nervous. 

"You coming," Sparrow asked flicking his tail against Elliot's muzzle to goad him to chase.

"Yeah" Elliot replied nipping at Sparrow's tail which got the other wolf to start running.
