Chapter 6

Elliot growled under his breath as he felt Sparrow peppering kisses over his face. The gesture was amusing but Elliot still wanted to sleep it was too early to wake up. Swatting at Sparrow lightly Elliot rolled over and snuggled back into the covers. 

"Come on Elliot we agreed to go shopping with my sister and Justin" Sparrow spoke his voice a melodic whisper in Elliot's ears. 

"What time is it," Elliot asked as he blinked open an eye to look at his mate.

"It's seven-thirty" Sparrow replied grinning as Elliot sat straight up in alarm. 

"We'll be late, I still have to get dressed and we still need breakfast" Elliot groaned as he tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes. 

"No worries honey, I have some clothes here for you and I already made breakfast. Here" Sparrow chuckled as he handed Elliot a tray that was sitting on the bedside table. 

"Did you get up early just so I could sleep in?" Elliot asked a slow grin appearing on his face as happiness welled up in his chest his wolf nearly purring with contentment. 

"Of course I did, I love you" Sparrow answered leaning over and pecking Elliot on his nose. 

"I love you too, thank you" Elliot giggled before starting to eat. They were still on the clock after all. 

As Elliot ate the toast and fruit Sparrow had given him he had time to think. He was so glad he had decided to stay. He could get used to being pampered like this, it made him feel loved and safe and like he mattered. Maybe this would be his chance to finally to face his fears and become part of a pack again. 

After they ate Elliot got out of bed and got dressed pouting as he realised Sparrow was already dressed. He was hoping to see more of his mate's handsome figure. Blushing as he realised the turn of his thoughts Elliot quickly walked out of the bedroom so he could wait in the living room. The chuckle he heard from Sparrow meaning he had not been guarding his thoughts. 

When Harper showed up with her mate Elliot was thankful he didn't have to be alone with Sparrow any longer. The moon still wasn't as its peak but he was beginning to feel its pull. Elliot knew that the night would be intense and he couldn't wait. As a car pulled up outside Elliot followed Sparrow out into the cool of the morning.

"Elliot, Sparrow come on let's go we're wasting daylight" Harper called from the car sticking her tongue out at Justin as he rolled his eyes. 

"It's good to see you too sis, hello Justin how are you both today" Sparrow spoke as he opened the back car door for Elliot to get in first. 

"Hi Sparrow its good to see you, the alpha's are wanting to hang out with you too but they said they'd wait until Elliot was more comfortable" Justin replied as Sparrow got into the car after Elliot closing the door. 

"I'm sorry Sparrow, your friends must hate me" Elliot whimpered his heart hurting knowing Sparrow was spending time with him rather than his friends. 

"That's not true, they understand you have a past, everyone does it's what we choose to do after that makes us stronger" Sparrow soothed hating to see Elliot upset. His mate still hadn't revealed to him what his past was like but Sparrow knew Elliot would tell him when he was ready. 

Elliot wanted to ask Sparrow what he meant by everyone has a past but Harper turned the radio up and Justin started to drive. It seemed like they were getting uncomfortable with the turn of the conversation. So for the journey to the shopping centre, Elliot looked out of the window deciding that he had to come clean with Sparrow about the past and what danger was coming now that he had decided to stay. Elliot needed to know that his mate wouldn't leave him if things got tough. 

"We're here" Harper chirped when the car came to a stop startling both Elliot and Sparrow from their thoughts. 

Grumbling under his breath Elliot got out of the car smiling as Sparrow came to stand next to him. His mate truly was a kind and good soul. Following Harper and Justin into the shops, Elliot was wary of the other werewolves around them. Pressing closer to Sparrow for security Elliot nearly purred as his mate placed his hand on the small of his back.

"First let's get you some clothes," Harper Said breaking the silence that had fallen among them. 

"Sure" Elliot agreed letting his worries drift away knowing that holding onto fear could make him tense and not able to have fun. 

Following the beta female Elliot chuckled as many of the werewolves in the area cleared the way for her to pass. He wondered why but then the smirk on Harper's face made him not want to know. Shaking his head Elliot looked over at Justin. The man was tall and broad with dark brown hair and his grey eyes always looked somewhat misty. The laid back Justin and the bubbly Harper seemed to be the perfect match to compliment each other. Elliot smiled before interlacing his hand with Sparrow's his wolf grumbling in content as Sparrow squeezed his hand tighter. 

As they walked into the clothing shop Harper pulled Elliot to the dressing room after picking out a variety of outfits. Going with the flow Elliot tried on all the clothes she gave him and picked out the ones he wanted. 

"Hey Elliot try this on, I think Sparrow will love it," Harper said as she handed him something from behind the curtain. 

"Sure thank you" Elliot replied taking off the clothes he had on and putting on the item she had given him. 

Once he had it on Elliot he looked in the mirror and blushed Scarlett. He had no idea where she had found the thin piece of fabric he was wearing but he would need to have words with her about what was appropriate. It was underwear that covered the front but left his ass exposed to the air. 

"Hey, Sparrow I think Elliot may need your help" Elliot heard Harper giggle from behind the curtain. 

Elliot tried to say he didn't need help but it was too late. Sparrow was already in the changing room with him. Elliot heard Sparrow's intake of breath and the low growl of appreciation from his chest. 

"Sparrow" Elliot whispered as he saw Sparrow's eyes shifting between gold and green. 

"I... I... I'll be waiting outside" Sparrow stuttered his mouth going dry as desire pooled in his stomach. How could his mate be so tempting when he wasn't even trying. 

"Sure" Elliot responded his heart beating faster. 

After the incident in the changing room, the four werewolves continued shopping and Elliot told Harper off for the stunt she pulled though the beta female keep laughing it off. When they returned to the cabin Elliot had a pit of nerves in his stomach. Was he prepared for what came next? He decided that yes he was and he would take every day as it came as long as he could be with Sparrow nothing else mattered.
