Elliot grinned as he listened to his mother and father discuss their careers within the pack as teachers. It had been two weeks since they had come to live with the Frostfang pack and Elliot couldn't be happier though his belly was getting in the way. Elliot loved the little life growing inside of him and he couldn't wait to meet them. Elliot was only having one but he and Sparrow had decided to keep the gender a secret.

"Son you ok," Elliot's dad Aaron asked as he hadn't spoken for a while.

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just happy we can all be together like this" Elliot responded with a small smile though it turned to a grimace as a sharp pain shot across his abdomen.

"No your not, look at your legs" Elliot's mom Ellie said her face a mask of worry and concern.

Looking down between his legs Elliot noticed the puddle around him. The pain he had been experiencing had interfered with the sensation of wetting himself. Elliot simply stood from his chair and started walking to the packhouse. He was calm maybe to calm but he wasn't going to panic.

"My water just broke I'm heading to the pack hospital wing" Elliot spoke into the mate link to Sparrow.

"What, are you okay, why do you sound so calm" Sparrow replied frantically his voice a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

"I don't know why I'm calm, I just don't feel like panicking," Elliot said as he continued on his way to the packhouse passing a few pack members as he went. His parent's were following him but he gave them no mind as his sole focus was getting to the doctor safely.

"Alright I'm coming, I'll meet you at the pack hospital" Sparrow responded but kept the link between them open so Elliot could inform him if anything was happening.

Elliot was then in a trance as he walked breathing in and out slowly in order to deal with the pain that was starting to become stronger. It didn't take long for him to get to the pack hospital where doctor Mia was waiting for him with Sparrow by her side. It would seem his mate was at the packhouse doing his duties.

"Elliot" Sparrow breathed as he picked up the scent of Elliot's labour.

"Sparrow" Elliot whined, suddenly sobering to the reality of the situation.

"Let's get you into a birthing room" Mia cut in before either male had a chance to panic.

Following her lead, Elliot took Sparrow's hand and they walked down the hall to a birthing room that was empty. Inside the room were a bed, a birthing ball, a birthing pool and all the equipment the doctors and nurses would need if the labour took a turn for the worse. As they entered Mia instructed Elliot to change into a hospital gown. After he was chanced she took away his soiled clothing no doubt to have them washed.

"Right, you can use this space to get things going, Once the contractions start to become only a minute apart press the bell and I will come running" Mia instructed before she left Elliot and Sparrow to their own devices.

Walking around the room Elliot gritted his teeth as another contraction washed over him before it was gone and he kept walking. He kept this up for around an hour as Sparrow tried to distract him with idle chatter.

"So your parent's how are they settling in," Sparrow asked as he watched Elliot pace feeling helpless as he couldn't help Elliot through this.

"They are settling in fine, they love their house in the omega village and both start their teaching jobs next week" Elliot hissed as a particularly strong contraction made him stop walking.

It went on like this for hours, Elliot walking or bouncing or getting into a comfortable position while he and Sparrow talked about everything and anything mostly about what they wanted for the future. As the contractions became closer and closer together Elliot started being unable to focus on their conversations entirely.

Pressing the button Doctor Mia had told him to Elliot hissed as another contraction caused his legs to lose strength, and if it weren't for Sparrow catching him, he would have fallen.

"Let's get you on to the bed now" Sparrow soothed as he moved Elliot's hair off his sweat-slicked forehead.

"Okay" Elliot conceded just as Mia and a nurse came into the room.

"You're doing really well Elliot, you're ready to push, so when the next contraction happens I want you to push" Mia ordered as she put her gloves on and sat at the end of the bed between Elliot's open legs.

Elliot answered her with a whimper as he pushed as a contraction caused his entire body to light up in pain. Elliot's wolf was trying his best to take most of the pain but he couldn't handle it all. As Elliot continued to push he felt something leave his body. His heartbeat twice in anticipation before tiny cries filled the room.

"Congratulations it's a boy" Mia exclaimed as she got Sparrow to cut the umbilical cord.

"A boy" Elliot sighed relaxing as he thought his part was over.

"Don't relax just yet Hunny, you still have to push out the placenta" Mia chuckled only to receive a groan of frustration from Elliot as he was desperate to hold his baby.

It took another thirty minutes for Elliot to pass the placenta and while he did that he knew his pup was being cleaned, weighed and dressed. After he passed the placenta Elliot passed out in exhaustion.

When he woke up Elliot was in a fog until he turned his head to see Sparrow sitting in a chair beside the bed with their son in his arms. The sight caused Elliot's heart to skip a beat, it was the best sight he had ever seen.

"Your awake" Sparrow whispered a grin on his face as looked into Elliot's eyes his eyes shimmering with pride.

"I am, can I hold him" Elliot asked as he sat up on the bed wincing as his muscles protested the movements.

"Of course" Sparrow said as he handed Elliot their son loving the way his mate looked holding a baby.

Looking down at their son Elliot smiled as unshed tears gathered in his eyes. He was perfect, he had a light dusting of dirty blond hair on his head and when he blinked Elliot caught a glimse of the clearest green eyes he had ever seen.

"He's perfect, what should we name him" Sparrow asked as they hadn't came to a decision yet.

"How about Wulfrum" Elliot hummed his wolf purring at the sight of his pup.

"I like it" Sparrow agreed as he got onto the bed behind Elliot, wrapping his arms around Elliots waist and enjoying the moment.

Elliot sighed in his mates hold, he never thought he would live to see this day, the day where he would be in the arms of a loving and supportive mate as they stared down at their newborn son. Elliot was ready to let go of the past and find the happiness that was his for the taking with his family.
