Kairi sat in Mattia's bedroom, surrounded by his friends. Everyone was doing their own thing, laughing and talking with each other.
It was happy. They were happy.
Well. Kairi wasn't. But no one noticed.
He watched as Robert and Alejandro slapboxed in the corner; the room erupting in laughter.
But he stayed silent, unable to even smile at his two friends.
No one noticed.
As the laughter subsided, Kairi drifted away into his own little world. He stopped feeling everything. He allowed his sporadic thoughts to consume him until he couldn't hear the world around him anymore.
M: -ri. Kairi? Helloooo.
Kairi snapped out of his mind, realizing that all of his friends were staring at him and Mattia had called his name about nine times.
K: oh sorry.
Mattia thought it was strange that the older boy had no emotion ok his face, even though the rest of their friends were now making fun of Kairi for zoning out; but he brushed it off, chalking it up to Kairi being over-tired.
M: We wanna go to the mall, you down?
Kairi shrugged and nodded, not bothering to smile or even speak.
The boys all stood up, exiting Mattia's room in a loud and rambunctious manner. Kairi followed slowly, watching in pain as his friends laughed with eachother.
