CH.29 Challenge

Deku POV

Kacchan wants me to come over...? How long has it been? Nine, ten years..? As I closed my notebook when literature class ended, I made my way to the door.

"Deku!" Uraraka called out with Lida, and Tsyu following shortly behind.

"Let's all go to lunch together today!" She said tugging on my sleeve.

" Sorry. " I looked away "I really need to get practicing in the dance studio."

"Awee, c'mon, just this once!" Tsyu jumped in.

"B-But I need to do this to get better!" My hands are now in a fisted ball shape due to the slight irritation.

"You need a break, too. Your body can only take so much if you overwork you muscles." Lida gripped his hand on my shoulder with a slight squeeze.

"Fine." I gave a small smile as they cheered and pulled me the way to lunch. As passing through the long halls I seen Todoroki.

"Todoroki-kun! Why don't you join us?" I yelled while waving. He shook his head no but, I ran over and grabbed him anyways. I didn't want anyone to be alone in this.

When we finally sat down, Todoroki sat next to me, then on the side of him Lida, Uraraka, lastly Tsyu. I looked over to see Kacchan's group pushing and laughing around. It was apparent I was staring because Kacchan looked straight back at me. He then pushed his way through everyone and sat beside me.

Bakugou POV

What is Deku staring at? I look over his shoulder to see..
Oh no...
Oh HELL no.

"Yo! Bakubro! What do you think of Udon Noo-"

"Hey! Where you goin'!"

I pushed my way through everyone.

"K-Kacchan!?"

I plot myself down next to him.

"What's his problem?" Uraraka said while looking over.

"Heh... He's just having another one of his... err, episode." Deku explains.

I look over and growl at his group of friends.

"Hey, are these seats taken?" Mina ask.

"Would it matter? You'd take them anyways." Denki adds.

"Hmph!" Mina gave a poker face as she turned and looked away.

"So anyways, what's going on?" Sero asks sitting beside Mina.

"I really don't know. All I knew was that your hot headed friend busted his way to just take a seat." Todoroki spoke.

"OI." I exclaim ready to dig out his vocal cords.

"Yeah Bakubro. What was that about?" Kirishima ask smirkingly.

"Tch, just felt this seat was worthy of me, that's all." I rolled my eyes.

"So, is this your 'BakuSquad' you were talking about, Mina? " Tsyu questions.

"Why, yes it is." Mina said proudly .

"You bragged about our squad? That's our Mina!" Denki said slapping Mina's back.

"What a joke." Todoroki said.

"What was that?" I defensively state.

"You heard me, unless all that yelling you do has made you gone deaf."

Sero choked on his riceball at the sudden escalation.

"W-Woah Todoroki calm down-" Uraraka exclaims.

"Trying to surpass us? Is this a challenge coming on?" Mina says in a cocky tone.

"No, we have no interest in this." Lida states firmally.

I look over at the shitty nerd only to see him quietly eating his Katsudon while watching the free show displayed.

"Oh Mina, I don't think they're capable of doing it." Denki provokes crossing his arms joining the fun.

Uraraka stood up from her seat with both hands gripping the table. "You're on."

"With what army?" Sero rolls his eyes with a grin tugging at his lips.

"T-The..."

I couldn't help but to snicker at her last minute decisions.

"THE DEKUSQUAD!" she announces out loud. "Yeah that's right. We will gladly take you on! One by one. "

I spit out my milk.

"H-Hey guys lets not push it." Kirishima says while trying to hold his friends down.

"Damn loosers, drop it." I spoke up.

"I'm sure they're just playing around, Kacchan." Deku gives with a small smile.

I scratched the back of my neck and got up to get out of this shit show.

"Bakubro! Where are you going? Come help defend your kingdom!" Denki dramatically states.

"Stop acting like an idiot. You heard the nerd. " I said with my hands on my pockets.

"I knew you wouldn't be able to go against us." Todoroki says snickering underneath his breath.

"HAH? WHAT WAS THAT?!" I said putting my foot on the table between Deku and that half-n-half. "YOU REALLY TRYING TO DIE?!"

"It's settle then. The Bakusquad and the Dekusquad will go ahead to head against each other in a dance battle one day!" Kirishima said while standing up.

"You're on!" Everyone says while Deku sits there, hand on his face.

Little did the rivals know what they'll be getting into.
