Phillips P.O.V

We finally arrived in Germany for the Prague Festival as I felt my hands sweat as I was so nervous. Mom asked," Are you alright Phillip?" I said," I'm just really nervous Mom..." Mom said, " Well, here." She handed me a card that was hand made. I looked through it as it was a long letter from Theodosia. It said: Dear Phillip, thank you so much for the sheet music. I'm having trouble learning it but I'll hang in there. Looks like we'll be writing letters to eachother. Well, I like it. Anyway, when we were on the phone a while ago, you seemed nervous for your performance tonight. Well, if your still and emotional wreck about it here what I suggest you to do.

1) Breathe. Take deep breaths counting from 1-10 I know a lot or people tell you this but it really will make you feel a lot more better.

2) Strech. Your body may feel uncomfortable cause you didn't strech it out. I find it satisfying but that's just me.

3) Meditate. I know this sounds crazy but I find it relaxing. Especially having a nice scent in the air and pretty music.

4) Tell yourself that you can do this. I know it's a competition  and your going to blow them away. Trust me, don't stress out about it it'll just make you feel worse.

So, if you still feel nervous and upset, just call me. Even if I'm asleep I'll try to pick up. Still do it. I love you, I miss you.

Love you lots, Your Dear Theodosia.

I smiled. I'm guessing she got it. I feel so much better. Just this letter makes me feel better. She didn't have to do this. She's so....perfect. I smiled as Mom said, "Come on Phillip. " I nodded. We were probably heading to the hotel.... I sighed as she said, " Are you okay? " I said, " Well, I feel better." Mom said, " We're just going to the hotel. " I nodded as I decided to text Theodosia.

Text messages between Theodosia and Phillip

Phillip: Hey Theo.

Theo: Hey Pip! How are you?

Phillip: Well, your letter was...beautiful. I really liked it.

Theo: Well, I pretty much poured my heart out. Seriously, I'm waiting for you to go on tv.

Phillip: Well, before I go on, I'll text you to let you know so you can see me.

Theo: Cool. I'm excited. Anyway, what are you doing?

Phillip: Mom's driving me to the hotel. Wish you were here.

Theo: Same. Anyway, what song are you going to play?

Phillip: It's a surprise sweetie.

Theo: Dang! I wanna know!

Phillip: Hah! You'll see when I go on...

Theo: Ugghhhh, that'll take foever!

Phillip: Oh well.

Theo: Your funny.

Phillip: So are you.

Theo: ...

Phillip: What are you doing babe?

Theo: Drinking tea and thinking about you. Zuri came with food. Anyway, it's been weird and kinda hard since I haven't done a long distance relationship before...

Phillip: 😔Oh, I'm still sorry for that.

Theo: It's alright. Your making your dream complete.

Phillip: It's not complete without you in it.

Theo: 😶 R-Really?

Phillip: Hell yeah.

Theo: I...don't know what to say.

Phillip: Well, I gotta go. I love you baby girl😘.

Theo: I love you too babe.

I sighed. I couldn't fufill my dream out Theodosia. I sighed as we arrived at Double Tree hotel. Mom said that Double Tree and Four Seasons were the best hotels... I honestly belive her, she grew up with a lot of money. Anyway, we went inside since we were already checked in. Many girls looked at me...Everybody knew who I was. I sighed as I pulled my suitcase but another guy said, "I'll take that for you sir." He placed it with Mom's stuff on some cart thingy. Anyway, we got to the hotel room as the concert hall wasn't far. Mother took this competition seriously, so did I. Mom said, " Get yourself situated Phillip." I nodded as she disappeared to her room. I looked around, I wish there was a piano here. But I had to go to the concert hall for that. I memorized the piece I was playing, I just wasn't used to playing in front of people. At least ever since high school.

I stared at my suit I was going to wear tonight as I ran my fingers through my hair as I looked outside. It was a beautiful view. Well, I thought so. I had a nice room with my own bathroom and a pretty master bed and bathroom. I also had a tv too. Man, I feel like a prince. Whatever, it's kinda similar like at home. I wonder what Angie is up too...She and I practiced piano together sometimes. I mostly played piano with Mom but not that time. Angie played piano with Pops a lot. I smiled as I thought about them, wondering what they were up too...I sat on the bed as I got a bit umpacked. I just had a few books, my laptop, my tablet, and all my clothes, and of course, my portable keyboard and my yoga mat. I kind regretted bringing it. I looked outside some more. I'm definitely going to have to get used to Germany. Mom said, " Phillip! We're going to the concert hall in thirty minutes!" I said, " Okay Mom!" I sighed looking around, my thoughts landed on my piece. What's the one thing I have to do while I'm here? It landed on one word. Win. I gave up with emptying my thoughts as I read Theodosias letter again. I stretched as I went back in a backbend. I was pretty darn flexible. I came back up rolling my neck and my hands. I took deep breaths counting to ten slowly as I took out my blue yoga mat and sat down streching out as I thought of music. As my other favorite song Hallelujah that was performed by Lindsay Stirling. It was my favorite song by her. I relaxed as I smiled as I stretched some more. I felt very good as I looked in the mirror. I brushed my hair pulling it into a ponytail as a few strands came out as I tucked them behind my ears. I smiled as Mom said, " Phillip! It's time to go!" I said, " Coming!" I grabbed my sheet music and ran to Mom she asked," You feeling okay? " I said, " A lot more better than before. " She said," Good." As we walked out the door together...
