Chapter 15 : beauty underneath

Erik's POV

I woke up to the morning light shining at my face . I look next to me to see Gustave sleeping soundly . I love him so much . I rather die than having Erik take away my Gustave . I still couldn't believe he came . He's alive all this while but yet he never came searching for me . Now that he needs something he seek for me . What does he think I am ? A toy ? But even with these thoughts , deep down in my heart I can't be mad at him . I'm Glad his alive . My angel of music , my lover is alive and somehow I wish we could be together again . I was going into deep thoughts when Gustave woke up

" Mother ! am I allow to see Mr Y ? He promised to show me his world ! " Gustave said excitedly . How could I refuse him ? He's the happiest he's ever been .
" Well of course darling . But we should keep it a secret . Do not tell your father , promise ? "
He laughed and promised me . He then went out of bed to get ready . I did the same thing too .

" Mother quick ! Look at this place " Gustave running so fast .
" Gustave , slow down ! People are working here be careful . " I was catching my breath .
" but I want to find Mr Y to look around this island . " he replied
Raoul slowly walking and looking around behind us . People were all busy getting ready for tomorrow's performance .
" Who is this Mr Y ? What does he do ? Apart from spending ridiculous amount of money in light entertainment? " asked Raoul. What am I supposed to answer? Luckily gustave distracted Raoul by making him stop him from running . He went off to catch Gustave .

I then turned the page on the music book I was holding . The book Erik gave me . I was reading and trying to feel the music when I heard a familiar voice behind me .

" Heaven help me could it be ? No it couldn't possibly " I turned around to find this familiar girl
" sorry do I .. " I asked but I got cut off
" yes I think you do . "
" Have we ? "
" Go on take a Guess "
" wait , it can't be "
" yes ! "
" oh my god I can't believe it's you ! "
it's my bestfriend Meg . The one who's been there for me my whole life , beside Erik . God how much I miss her . I have so much to tell her . It's so good to see her again .

" Look at you, Christine . Regal as a queen and beautiful ." Meg complimented me and I blush .
" Meg, and you as well . I could hardly tell it's you . " I replied .
She smiled . She really is beautiful , much more beautiful than the last time I saw her .

" My dear old friend . Can't believe you're here, old friend . After all this time , so glad you came "
" You look sublime " meg said
" You look the same "  I replied
" My sweet old friend . Never thought we'd meet, old friend "
" Look at you, a star " I'm honestly impressed by her .
" And you, a wife . " she said and I faked a smile . If only she knew how unhappy I was. I told her why I'm here and she was surprised because she was supposed to be the star of the show . I told her there must be some mistake and told her that I hardly sing so I needed this . She smiled and said she be glad to be sharing the stage with me . Then I saw Raoul with Madame Giry . It's so good to see her again . But then Raoul face changes when he talks to her . It's like he found out something . He walk towards me and pulled me away so hard.  I stop him and calm him down .

" Darling, please, are you alright? " I asked him . He took the book from my hand and said
" Tell me now, that music, who was its creator? " oh no he knew something . He squeezed me even tighter .
" Darling, please don't squeeze so tight " he let go of me as Madame giry and meg was staring .
" Something's going on here, I'll deal with you later " I'm scared of him right now . What is he going to do ?

Then I went to Madame Giry and hug her . I saw Raoul and meg reuniting like friends . The four of us together in the same place made me feel so happy . I missed the old time . Madame giry suggest we raise a glass to celebrate this reunion .
" To such sincere and very dear old friends ! "
" Ehem , no offence but I need something much greater . Good day " Raoul put down the glass . " Raoul ! Please ! I can explain ! "
Then I turn to look at Meg , and told her she should see Gustave . I looked around but he's nowhere to be found .  " Oh god Gustave ! " God, I lost him . Then I went off finding him alone . Meg accompany me .

" Gustave ! Gustave ! He's supposed be here waiting for E.. Mr Y . "
" Do not worry Christine , I'm sure his fine . Erik wouldn't hurt him . " Erik ? Did she just said Erik ? She knew his name ? 10 years ago he told me no one knew his name . I felt special because I was the only one who knew . Does this mean Meg meant something to him ? What's going on with the two of them ? I had so many questions but I need to find gustave first .
