Chapter 25 : love never dies

Christine POV

" No !! " meg shouted .
" Oh god , no . Christine ! " Erik came to me picking me up so that I will be sitting .
" Go get help ! " said Erik to Madame Giry. Madame giry took meg's hand and ran away .  The pain started to increase . Gustave took my hand and said " Father ! Where's father ? " I need to tell gustave now . I am dying and only I can prove to him that Raoul is not his father . I took his hand .

" Gustave , your father .. "
" Christine no .. " Erik said .
" I know I promise , but you are all he has now . He has to know the truth . "
" Christine please no .. " I do not care what Erik said . Gustave look at me puzzled .
" Gustave your father , your real father .. is here .. " I pointed at Erik .
" No , no . " gustave could not believe what I said so I touch his face
" Look with your heart and not with your eyes . The heart understands , the heart never lies . "
" Noooo !! " gustave escape from me and ran away . I tried to go after him but the pain stop me from doing so I fell down again but Erik caught me .

Erik was crying as he pulled my body to rest on his hand . He starts singing and the pain starts to lessen .
" Once upon another time , our story had only begun " I just showed to him I really love him and that even after 10 years , I could not move on from him .
" I had the taste of joy , the most I ever felt ... " That kiss we had after my performance... was so real and tender and passionate . We were both smiling because we finally showed one another we're still into each other .

He look at me in the eyes and cried . " Now there isn't any time and somehow our story is done . " I was excited and ready to be with Erik the rest of my life . I may not show it now but I want to prove it to Erik for the rest of my life that I love him . But now .. The chance is gone .
" And what about the boy ? What am I to do ? " oh Erik ,
" Just love , just live . Just give what you can give and take the love that you deserve . " he is your son , Gustave will learn to accept you . He will love you like how I love you . Then our voices match
" Just love , just live " but the pain starts to get to me so I pressed my wound even harder to stop the blood from flowing . He continue singing
" I'll give all that I have . And take what little I deserve . " The pain starts to grew and I can feel my breath getting weak . I need to tell him one last time that I love him and no matter what , no matter where I am , he is the man I love , the man I love .

" Come closer , I beg you . " he came closer .
" Closer still . " Then he move even closer till we look exactly into one another eyes . I have to remind him that I love him even after I'm gone and that my love for him will never die
" Remember ... love never dies . " I touch his mask face and his shirt .
" Kiss me one last time . " he pulled me up and gave me my last kiss . It was beautiful but then  the pain grew and I could not take it anymore . This is it . Goodbye my love ..

Erik POV
" Remember ... love never dies " Christine no ...
" Kiss me one last time . " I was crying so hard but I need to kiss her to feel her kiss one last time . So I pulled her face closer to mine and our lips touched , I pulled her even closer and felt her hand grabbing onto me and then slowly her hand fell off . Her body now lifeless . " No !! . No !!!! Nooo ! " I hug her tightly wanting to give her life . I could not believe this , she is gone . Gone forever . How am I suppose to live ? Without my angel ..

Then Gustave came running . He lie down on his mothers lap . I touch his head and slowly stroke it to comfort him . I realise gustave now is the only reason for me to continue living . He is my son . He is my angel too .

Then I saw Raoul . Oh god , Christine is still his wife , he deserve to hold her . So I gave Christine to him and stand up . My heart is so heartbroken . Now my angel is truly gone . Then , Gustave came to me and held my hand . I turn and kneel down . He touch my mask , I back away but he still reach out to it . So I let him . He open my mask and instead of running away , he hug me , so tight . " Papa .. " he said . I hug him even tightly .
