chapter five

"uh, monoma care to introduce us?" a boy with gray hair and white eyelashes asked neito, looking up at the couple.

"huh? oh right. this is y/n. she's my childhood friend," neito said to the group, his arm now around the girl's shoulder.

"it's nice to meet you guys, thanks for taking care of neito," y/n said to them with a smile, "oh guys, you can go sit down i'll probably be talking to them for a while. i don't wanna take up your time, thanks for the help," she turned back to her friends of 1-A. kaminari felt reluctant to leave them alone but along with the rest of the group left back to their table. neito sat her down next to him, she sat next to a girl with blonde hair and horns.

"my name's kendo itsuka! it's nice to meet you!" kendo extended her hand to y/n which she gladly took. the rest of the group introduced themselves, there was tetsutestu, awase, shiozaki, and pony.

"wait pony you're from america? i stayed there for a few years!" y/n said to the girl next to her. they bonded over memories from the country, y/n continued the conversation with the group till the end of lunch. the group started to leave, that was until neito stopped y/n.

"hey, here's my dorm number. come by so we can spend time together, alright? i missed you butterfly," neito handed her a napkin, his dorm number quickly scribbled on it. she nodded before bidding him farewell, she went to catch up with her 1-A friends.

"hey y/n how'd it go?" mina asked the girl, "also sero went up ahead, he has your lunch box."

"i almost forgot about that," y/n gasped, "but um it went really well actually! im gonna go see him later at his dorm," she held up the napkin for the group to see.

"wow so like a date?!" mina jumped excitedly looking at the piece of paper, that caught kaminari's attention he stopped and looked at the girls.

"is it? y'know like a date?" kaminari asked the girl holding the dorm number.

"ehh? no!! we're just hanging out, plus it's not like he's taking me out anywhere," y/n blushed, crossing her arms. mina probably didn't notice the blush, but kaminari did. he realized that he noticed everything about her. he noticed the way her eyes crinkle when she smiles, the way she writes her letters, how when she ate she would always hum a song, he noticed how much of her personality laid in her room alone.

am i crushing? i can't be crushing, i literally just met her yesterday, get ahold of yourself denki! kaminari thought to himself as he walked back to class. the day went on as he tried to focus on midnight's hero lesson but his eyes kept wandering to the girl a few seats behind him.

class soon ended as student filed out of the classroom quickly. "so y/n are you going to see monoma right now?" kaminari asked the (h/c) haired girl next to him, secretly hoping she would say no. the rest of their group looked at her too, waiting for her response.

"oh yeah! ill head over there now," she smiled at them, walking ahead of the group, "see you guys for dinner!" she waved eagerly at them before running up ahead to the class b dormitories. kaminari reluctantly waved goodbye as he continued walking with his group.

as y/n reached the class b dorms she saw neito up ahead. she ran up closer to him, hugging him from behind almost knocking him over, "hey neito," she smiled up at the blonde boy. he smiled before grabbing her arm, making small talk as they got up to dorm on the third floor.

"so this is my room," neito opened the door to reveal his dorm. it was surprisingly neat for a teenage boy, his bed was a nice shade of dark blue and he had pictures of y/n and him up, along with some of his class. his desk was considerably neater than y/n's.

"it's like your room at home, except wayyy neater" she laughed a little as she dropped her bag next to his bed sitting on it.

"how's class a treating you? they aren't jerks are they? they better not be," neito sat next to the girl, crossing his arms. at first y/n thought he was joking, he wasn't. she giggled at the question, she knew that he was always protective over her.

"they're great! they're really welcoming. plus hanta introduced me to his group of friends!" she eagerly told him about her class. "there's kaminari, jirou, yaomomo, mina, kirishima and bakugo."

"woah woah, slow down because i know about three of those names. excluding sero of course. i know kaminari because he fought shiozaki during the sports festival, and then proceeded to ask her out DURING their fight. kirishima i know from tetsutetsu, those two are basically twins, and bakugo was the biggest douche from the sports festival," neito rolled his eyes as he mentioned bakugo.

"i haven't really gotten the chance to talk with bakugo and kirishima. but kaminari is really nice! he's a bit of a flirt but overall he's a sweet guy," she smiled brightly at neito.

"i'm glad they're nice to you at least," neito sighed before continuing on about everything she missed during the two years she was away from japan. the two spent hours conversing, to them it felt like a sliver of time had gone by though.

it wasn't until she checked her phone, the time read 7:32 pm. she had two texts, one from hanta and the other from kaminari. hanta's text was a quick meme he sent from instagram, kaminari's text was a quick "dinner starts at 8 so get ur butt over here so u'll b ready to eat >:/" she smiled at the second text. she quickly bid farewell with her blonde friend offering a hug which he gladly took before rushing over to the class a dorms.
