Dinner

Chapter 8

** Next Day **

Jade's P.O.V

It's been a day since I came back and everyone has been treating me differently. T.C has been asking me to hang out more lately, Drew and Blake keep asking me to join them in their activities, and Jayk has been taking me shopping and keeps buying me stuff. I think they feel like if they treat me better, I won't run away again. But they don't have to any of that, I just wanted my brother to talk to me because I love him. Today Jayk's taking me out for dinner with the boys. He told me I can bring some friends so I decide to bring Katie, Annabelle and Gracie.

** Dinner **

Jayk brought us to a fancy restaurant. He also invited his new girlfriend, Arcelia. Jayk and Arcelia sat beside each other, beside them was Blake, Katie, Gracie and Drew. Across the table sat T.C, Devin, Jade and Annabelle. I still can't believe Arcelia is dating my brother, she's been rude to me since Jayk knew that I stayed at her place when I ran off. After we order and the food is brought to us, we start eating. The food here is so good, that's probably why the restaurant is so popular. All a sudden, all of the boys get up to use the washroom. This is really weird, they all have to use the washroom at the same exact time? Was this planned or something. The girls start talking, "I'm really loving the salad," Annabelle says. Everyone laughs.
"Oh my gosh did you see that beanie on Blake? It's giving me the feels," Katie says.
"I know right, but just look at Drew's eyes," Gracie says.
"Devin's smile is priceless, he's so cute!" I say.
"Yeah yeah Jade this is reality, snap out of it," Arcelia says to me, rudely. I'm confused right now but I don't really care.
"Arcelia why are you so rude? You should try some salad," Annabelle says, holding up her fork. All of a sudden one of my favourite songs come on, 'I Wouldn't Mind'. Annabelle made a duet to this song for Devin and I but he never got a chance to learn it. Out of nowhere, Devin comes out with a rose.
"Are you going to dance this duet with me or what?" He asks, smiling. I'm really confused, I didn't know that he knew the dance. I get up and dance the duet with him I start laughing because Drew and Blake try copying us, but fail horribly. I look over to my right and all my friends are fangirling like idiots. After we finish the duet, my friends pull me over and start fangirling and talking about how cute the dance was. Arcelia stands up to ask Jayk to dance but before she can get to him, Gracie runs up to Jayk and explains how she was being rude to Jade. Jayk walks over to Arcelia and says, "if you're rude to Jade one more time, we're through. She's my sister and she doesn't deserve being treated like that." Arcelia doesn't really do anything she kind of just walks away. Her and Jayk don't end up dancing, but him and Gracie do. When the song is over and my friends are done fangirling, Devin grabs me and pulls me outside to the back of the restaurant.
"Hey babe," he says.
"Hey, how did you know the duet?" I ask him.
"Oh Annabelle taught it to me, we were all in on the plan," he explains.
"Aw that's so sweet baby," I say going into hug him. He pulls me closer and leans into kiss me. His lips press against mine, they still taste like candy. I bite on his lower lip and his tongue teases my lips, wanting in. I open my mouth a little, granting him access. This is the second time he's kissed me this way. I don't know if I'm good at it but I really don't care. I'd like to make this a habit because it just feels so right when I'm with him. He reaches to the back of my head, pulling me closer, his fingers getting tangled in my hair. 'Click click!' we hear. We stop kissing and look to see where the noise is coming run. It's the paparazzi! I forgot they were in a band, for a split second. Now that they found us, (and also have a photo of me and Devin kissing) they won't leave us alone. They're such stalkers, I can't believe they get payed to do this. Devin grabs on to my hand and we run inside the restaurant. The boys run to us, "are you okay?" They ask.
"Kind of, the paparazzi's here," I tell him. T.C goes to tell the restaurant security and they take care of them.

**The next day**

I get a call at 10 in the morning, it's a group call from Gracie, Katie, and Annabelle.
"You're on the news!" Katie says, excitedly.
"How was your makeout session with Devin? There's a video online," Gracie tells me.
"It was really awkward when my mom asked me if that was you in the paper kissing Devin," Annabelle says.
"Shit it's everywhere, I'm so busted," I tell them
"Jade Purdy!" Jayk yells from downstairs. I know I'm in real shit now.
