Called Up

Y/n POV:

'Holy shit' I think to myself. Jill Ellis is talking to me with Ashlyn Harris, Ali Krieger, Alex Morgan, Christian Press, Tobin Heath, Megan Rapinoe and Kelley O'Hara. I shake the outstretched hand of Jill Ellis. "Um h-hi I'm-" "Y/n I know I was hoping you where here today. I saw your clip." I look at Amber and she smiles. "Um ye-yeah sorry I'm a b-bit nervous." "Oh don't be I really like the way you played today. I am offering you to play in the next camp." I stand there shocked. "Wa-wait really?" I ask smiling. "Yeah y/n you played really good today." Tobin Heath my idol says. "Thank y-you." They nod and then I hear my coach coming. "Yo y/n/n played good out there today. Here is your report and by the way update on Tills." I didn't turn around until he mentioned Tilly. "Is she okay? She can still play right?" I ask concerned. "She's um. God er." "Just say it coach." "She has torn her ACL." He says looking down. "Oh okay." I say my voice cracking. I feel Dixie hug me and I hid my head into her chest. I cry silently and Amber, Chloe and Dixie calm me down. "She will come by the way." Chloe says. "Pardon?" Jill says. "I'll come when is it may I ask?" "In a week. Chris, Kelley and Tobin are going to be staying in North Carolina so they will pick you up if you want." I was about to say no when I am interrupted by Amber. "Yep that sounds good." Jill nods her head. "Yo y/n/n!" I turn around. "Party tonight. My place. Bring Bambi, Dix and Coco too!" My teammate Alanna shouts. I look at the three girl's. "You down?" "Yeah I finished my art piece last night." "Okay I'm going to have to look at that." I say. "Yeah all I was going to do was play games so I'm down." Dix says. "It's not a party until I arrive so yeah I'll go." Chloe says. "Yeah A! We will all come!" I shout back to her and she nods her head. "Can I just quickly ask and then you can get ready for your party tonight." Tobin says. I nod my head. "What is the report that you got given?" I hear Chloe laugh. "As I said good luck getting scouted." "Shut up coco pops." "Don't worry I will still call you up. We just want to know." I sigh. "I'm not the greatest in school I just don't understand stuff and I get bored and fight with teachers and stuff. The school had enough of it and put me on report." I explain.  "Oh well kid when you are at camp we will all help you." Ash says. I nod my head. "Right well I can't wait to see you at camp have fun at the party tonight." Jill says in her thick accent. "I will. Thank you for this opportunity." I say and she nods her head and starts walking off. 

Amber's POV:

We all get ready for the party tonight. I'm like the mother of the group so I won't drink tonight. "Yo y/n/n you ready yet. You've taken fucking hours." "I'm sorry I had to have a shower of glory." We all laugh. "I'm ready let's go!" She shouts. We get to Alanna's house. We know the team quite well through y/n. "Yo here she is!" Alanna says whilst opening the door. "This one got called up to the USWNT baby!" Alanna shouts pointing to y/n and everyone cheers. "Okay. Okay where is the alcohol and drugs!" Y/n/n shouts. That is the only thing about y/n she gets high and drunk a lot. We know that she has a bad past from the nightmares and panic attacks but she never explains what happened. Her escape is football/soccer, alcohol and drugs. Chloe and Dixie grab a beer and we all start talking to people and celebrating the win. I see y/n/n come over. "Yo Bambi! It's so cool that we won right. Like it was amazing." She says already drunk. "Yo get a hit of this y/n/n!" Lea her other teammate shouts. She goes over and starts smoking whatever they have. We record a lot of the night and upload it to social media. "Yo! Y/n/n get this and down it." Lea says recording her. "Oh fucking bet!" She then picks up the bottle of alcohol and downs it all. The whole crowd cheers. I grab y/n by her wrist. "Bambi there you are." She says nearly falling. "Yep we are going home right now." I gather Chloe and Dixie and we head home.  I look behind me and see Dixie and y/n passed out. "Jesus she really went for it tonight didn't she." Chloe. I nod concerned about my best friend. "Hey she will be okay. In a week she will be with mostly responsible adults." She says giggling a bit. "Yeah but knowing her she will somehow find something." I say sadly. "Yeah. She will be okay though." I nod my head and we get to the house. We put Dixie and y/n into bed and then head to sleep. 

*1 week later*

Y/n POV:

Wow today is the day I head to my first national team camp. I am waiting outside for Kelley, Christian and Tobin. I just hope I look okay. Last night I got high again due to my nerves. I want to stop really I do but I just can't. I see a car pull up. "Yo y/n!" Kelley shouts. I hug Amber, Dixie and Chloe one more time. "You are calling us every night and gaming with Dixie right." "Yes mother." I laugh. "Please be safe. I hate you but I do need to know you will be alive." Chloe says giggling a bit. "I will coco. I love you guys." I say and then get in the car. "Hey kid." Tobin says to me when I sit next to Kelley. "Hey guys." "You nervous" I nod my head. Am I nervous I feel like having a panic attack right here. I need something to calm me down badly. We get to the airport and Tobin picks up one of my bags. "Fuck me what have you got in here." Christian slaps Tobin lightly round the head. "No swearing babe we have a kid with us." "I'm 18 Chris." I say laughing. "Anyway for your information Tobin that has all my gaming kit." I say picking it up like it is nothing. "Show off" I hear Tobin say jokingly. We wait for a bit until our plane get's called and we head onto it. I sit next to Kelley again because Tobin and Christian wanted to be near each other. "You alright kid" Kelley says. "I've um never been on a plane" I explain looking down. She grabs my hand. I look at her and smile. "The team is going to love you kid. Just match my breathing you will be fine okay." Before I know it we are in the air. I feel hands shaking me. "Wake up y/n/n." I hear Kelley say softly. "We are here just a bit of driving and then we are at the hotel." I nod and we get into the car. "Let's do this!" Tobin half screams. "You have so much energy." I say grumpily. She laughs. "Aw I'm sorry." I laugh and before I know it we are at the hotel. We garb our stuff and head in...
