First Match

Hey guys I just uploaded my first short story of my oneshot book. I hope that you will like it and check it out. Anyway let's get into the chapter.

Y/n's POV:
I sit down at breakfast and try to eat. "Hey kiddo you need to eat something big match today against Brazil." Carli says to me. "I know I'm just nervous I guess." "I get it pre-game gitters. I get them all the time. You just gotta stay calm kid and make sure you ignore what everyone is saying." I nod my head. "And you need to eat!" She says louder. "You aren't eating!" Chris shouts from the other side of the cafeteria. "Oh god now look who you have woken up." I complain and Carli laughs. "Good luck kid." "Why are you not eating hunny?" Chris asks. "I don't know I'm nervous I guess." "Okay well can you eat this much for me." She says splitting up my breakfast into quarters. "I'll try." "Thank you. I will be sitting over there if you need me." I nod and start eating. "Yo y/n/n. You need to do some work for school. Your phone keeps lighting up." Abby says. "Shit thanks Abs!" I shout and stop eating. "No you need to eat." "Chris it's fine okay I need to do this it's for physics." "Hmhm I'm here if you need me." "Yup got it." I say heading out of the room. I go into my room and see Kelley in there. "Hey Kells. Just gotta do some work is that okay." "Yeah of course do you want me to leave or..." "Nah Kelley your fine just be kinda quite and it will be fine." "You got it kid." I sit down and start my laptop. This should be fun. 

Kelley's POV:
I watch as y/n does her homework. "Den-si-ty di-vie-ded." It sounds like she has to split up every word just to read it. "Hey kid." I say getting the teenagers attention. "Do you need any help?" I ask. "Yeah actually that would be appreciated thanks Kells." "No problem. Now what do you need help with?" I ask. "Um what does that say?" She asks pointing at a word. "Analystics." I say confused as to why she couldn't read the word. "Thanks. Could you maybe just read the question?" "Sure." I read the question and watch her write some stuff down. "Can I read what you wrote. I studied science at Stanford." "Oh yeah sure." She says handing me her book. I read a bit but her handwritting makes it hard to read. She also can't spell very well. "Looks good there are a few spelling mistakes though." I point out. "Really. Ugh I thought I got better at spelling." "Do you struggle a lot?" "Yeah. My teachers just say that I don't pay attention enough but I do try I just struggle with reading it and maths. Ugh I hate maths I don't understand it at all." "Do you think it could be a learning disability?" I ask. "I don't know to be honest with you Kells." "Well tomorrow there is a place around here that I think tests for learning disability's. I would be happy to take you." "Yeah that sounds good Kells thank you." "No problem now lets work on these questions." 

Lindsey's POV:
I head down to the lobby with Emily and Rose to get onto the bus to head to the pitch. I see Kelley and y/n come down. I walk over to her. "Um hey y/n/n. You wanna um sit next to me maybe?" "Yeah sure thing Linds come on." She says giggling and grabbing my arm. "Your adorable you know that." I say to her. I swear I could see her blush. "Aw your adorable to Linny." We get onto the bus and talk about just random things. We arrive and I could tell that y/n/n was nervous. "You got this okay. Your amazing." "Thanks Linny." She says hugging me. I kiss her head. "No problem y/n/n." We get into the changing rooms and start warming up. "Linny!" I hear y/n shout and I cross the ball to her and she scores on Alyssa. "Looking sharp y/n/n." I say. "Perfect crossing Linny." She says and we do our handshake. "Coach these to have a connection I am telling you." Pinoe says to coach pointing at me and y/n. We look at each other and start laughing. We continue training until it is time for the game to start. Y/n wasn't in the starting line-up but did look to be a promising sub. I line up next to Alex and sing the national anthum. We get into position and Brazil kick off. We play until the half-time whistle blows. "Jesus that was a hard first half." Kelley says. "Yeah it was." Alex says. "The Brazilian defence was all over me. Sorry guys." "Don't say sorry Alex you tried your best." I say and she smiles at me. "Right come on focus on the next half. We could have improved last half don't get me wrong but put that into the second half." Y/n says. 

Y/n's POV:
I sit down next to Ash and they kick off for second half. At about 65 minutes Jill calls my name. "Good luck kid." Ash tells me. "Your going in for Alex okay. Get warmed up." "Yes coach." I start getting warmed up and I see my number on the board. I walk over and hug Alex. "Give em hell kid." I walk onto the pitch and wink at Lindsey. Kelley gets onto the ball and passes it to Lindsey. "Linny here!" I shout and she passes it. I then see Tobin in the box and cross it into her. She skills off the defender marking her and scores the goal. "Yes! Y/n fucking get in here!" Tobin screams and hugs me. "Great assist kid!" Carli shouts at me. After about 20 minutes we only have 5 minutes left. I see Lindsey coming round the wings. I make myself some space in the box. "Linny! Heads!" I shout and she crosses the ball directly on my head. I fall down and hear the crowd erupt in cheers. "Holy fuck kid! You scored on your debut!" Kelley screams picking me up and hugging me. The team tackles me and hugs me. This is the best feeling ever...
