"WHO WOULD LIKE TO SHARE FIRST TODAY?"
Park Jimin took a sip of his coffee, and lent back in the hard plastic chair that he was sitting on, surveying the group of people. There weren't that many people today, and Jimin assumed it was the rain. He himself had debated on calling Namjoon this morning, and telling him that he and Jae weren't going to be able to make it due to the weather, but he decided at the last minute that they would brave the rain. Taehyung, unfortunately, couldn't make it because he had a cold, and didn't want to risk getting anyone - especially Jae - sick.
He recognized most of the people in the room, Kim Namjoon being the most obvious. The 23 year old therapist smiled warmly at the members of the circle, waiting patiently to see if anyone would volunteer to speak. Jimin had known Namjoon since high school. Namjoon had tripped in the hallway, and practically fell face first into Jimin's locker, startling him. Namjoon had apologized sheepishly, and Jimin laughed, helping him recollect his books. They chatted momentarily - Jimin learned that he was a senior, and had plans to become a therapist, while Jimin shared his dreams of becoming a dance teacher. Jimin liked Namjoon. He was kind, patient, and incredibly good looking. He had a deep voice, the kind you could listen to all day. Namjoon was the type of guy who wanted you to succeed in life, and was always willing to help or give you advice. He was grateful to have a friend like Namjoon.
They kept in touch when Namjoon went away to University the following year, while Jimin attempted to finish high school. He succeeded, but only after dropping out and finishing online. He didn't intend to become a father in his first year of high school, but after a one night stand of unprotected sex, Jimin found himself in a sticky situation. The girl he had slept with didn't want the baby, but Jimin knew he wouldn't be okay if they terminated the pregnancy. So after careful consideration and some help from both parents, they agreed that she would carry the baby to term, and then Jimin would take care of the baby after it was born. His family was willing to help pay medical bills for her. Nine months later, Jae was born, and Jimin had never been more in love with someone. Jae became his number one. But it was hard, raising a baby while still in school, and when Jae turned two, he considered dropping out for good. Thankfully, he could do his work from home, only having to go into school once or twice a month to check in. Because of this, Jimin was able to get a job, to help support him and his little girl. Even though his parents were more than happy to help him out, Jimin didn't want to feel like he was a burden to them. Jae was his baby, and he wanted to be able to take care of her, without having to worry if he was stressing out his parents, or having to feel like he was imposing on them too much.
"Hoseok would you like to start today's session? Olivia said you had some exciting news to share," Namjoon asked, breaking Jimin's train of thought. His eyes traveled to the redhead who was sitting adjacent to him. Jung Hoseok, another friend of Jimin's. He hadn't known Hoseok very long, only a year or two, but Hoseok was another person Jimin was thankful to have in his life.
Jimin had met Hoseok when he started searching for dance studios to enroll Jae in. Dance had always played a huge role in his life, and he wanted to share that experience with his daughter. Jimin had danced with Seoul Energy for most of his life, but they were the next step in a young dancer's career. Their age group started at 10 and worked its way up. The dance studio he'd been a part of before had recently burnt down, so he needed to find somewhere else to put her. In the end, he came across Hope Studios. It was a little far from his parents house (but that didn't matter in the end, because they'd recently just moved closer to the area), but Jae loved it from day one, and so did he. It was Hoseok who had given them the tour that day. Jimin was completely unaware that he owned the place until afterwards, but he liked the energy he gave off. He was upbeat, smiley, and overall a fun person to hang around. It was Hoseok who had helped Jimin achieve his dreams of being a dance teacher. He offered Jimin a position to teach contemporary at his studio, thus creating a beautiful friendship between the two. Not only was it fun, the pay was good. Good enough for Jimin to acquire a small house in the neighborhood, for him and Jae. Hoseok's wife, Olivia, had helped him go house hunting. It wasn't too far from their place, and not too far from the studio either.
