"an extrovert and a mute walk into a bar pt. 2,"
_______
IT WAS A QUIET MORNING IN THE STUDIO. December was here, bringing with it an abundance of snow and freezing cold temperatures. He watched the snow falling in large flakes from the warmth of his studio room. Aside from the massive snowflakes, the weather seemed rather nice, although Jimin didn't know how long that it would last. They were due for a storm some time this week, but as of right now, there was just snow, covering everything in a cold kiss of white. It truly was a winter wonderland outside, and with a little bit of excitement, Jimin realized that he would be able to put up Christmas decorations without people thinking he was crazy. Jimin couldn't help it, he loved Christmas.
He sat on the floor of the studio, stretching beforehand. His class was due to start in ten minutes, and it was easier for him to have already done his stretching before the kids got there, that way he could focus on them. Across from him on the floor was Taehyung, who had been rambling on about something for the past hour and a half. He hadn't been properly paying attention. He was too focused on trying not to pull a muscle, but he did catch bits and pieces of what he was saying. Jungkook, school, Jungkook, projects, Jungkook again....did he mention Jungkook?
Taehyung suddenly scooted closer to him on the floor with a sly grin. It was hard for him to back away from Taehyung's sudden proximity considering he was doing the splits and was practically face first on the ground, but he didn't like that smile. He knew that smile off by heart. That was the 'I got a plan' look. "We should go on a double date," he proposed.
Jimin gave him a funny look, quirking a brow. "You wanna what?" he questioned, pushing himself up into a sitting position. Taehyung rolled his eyes. Of course Jimin hadn't been paying attention.
"A date," he repeated, moving even closer. "We should go on a double date. Y'know, you and Yoongi, Jungkook, and I,"
"Why do you wanna do that?" he asked, but Jimin was already thinking about it in the back of his mind. A double date sounded fun, and he loved having an excuse to dress up. He didn't get too many chances with being a father and all. The only issue would be trying to find somewhere to send Jae for the night, but that shouldn't be too hard. His parents were dying to see Jae again, and she had been begging to go visit them.
"It was Jungkook's idea," Taehyung replied with a shrug. "I'm just relaying the message,"
"I dunno Tae..." he said, trailing off. Jimin didn't understand why he was fighting the idea. The last "double date" they had gone on (which neither Jimin nor Yoongi knew that that's what it was going to be) had been one of the best days of his life, and he had enjoyed every minute that he had spent with Yoongi.
"It'll be fun, I promise," Tae pleaded, giving him puppy dog eyes. "Please?"
Jimin let out a quiet laugh. "I'll think about it,'' he said, glancing up at the clock. He class was bound to start any second now. He let out a sigh as he pushed himself up on the ground. He noticed how much darker the sky had gotten as he walked past the large window. The snow had stopped falling, but it now looked as if it was seven or eight o'clock at night rather than one in the afternoon. He could see a few dark clouds rolling in on the horizon, threatening to bring with them a lot more than just large, fluffy snowflakes.
"So that's a yes," Taehyung smirked.
"No, wait, Tae-" But Taehyung wasn't listening as he pushed himself off the ground. He kissed Jimin's cheek on the way out, waving goodbye to him. He was already brainstorming a list of places to go and things to do, and with his kiddos coming into the studio for their class, Jimin would have to bug him about it later.
