Okay...... so... it's been four months.... sorry. But y'know I'm back so..... hi. I'm making this the last part, because I'm lazy and don't know how to continue this, so.... At least I'm not leaving it uncompleted. Don't expect too much tho bc this gonna be short.
Chapter 20
*Two years later* (because I'm lazy)
Boruto and Sarada shuffled side by side along the dirt road leading out of The Leaf Village. Today was the day Sasuke was leaving for another mission and Boruto decided to go along with Sarada to say goodbye. He never liked the sad look on her face whenever her dad left, so he came along to cheer her up.
Boruto let out a loud yawn and rubbed his eyes. It was only about five o'clock in the morning. He'd stayed up playing his video games all night and only got a couple hours of sleep. Sarada furrowed her brow at him.
"Y'know if you stayed up all night you didn't have to get up early to come with me. And if you knew you had to get up early why'd you stay up anyways?", she asked.
"Because playing video games is funner than sleeping", he replied.
" First of all, Boruto, funner is not a word, and second of all that is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard come out of your mouth. And that's saying something.", she told him.
He pursed his lips, " Well I'm sorry I'm not like you miss " I follow the rules because I'm a goody two shoes", he said in a mockingly high pitched voice.
" I don't sound like that!", she retorted.
"Whatever!", he shot back.
They glared at eachother, eyebrows twitching. Boruto looked away with a "hmpf" and Sarada smirked with the satisfaction of winning their staredown.
When they arrived at the gate, Sasuke stood there in all his moodiness. His usually expressionless face dropped into a frown when he saw Boruto. This made Boruto sweat a little, he knew Sasuke didn't particularly like him. Escpecially know that he and Sarada had become.....closer.
"What's he doing here?", he asked Sarada pointedly.
"He wanted to say goodbye to you because he's going to miss you terribley", she said with smug glance his way. He stared slack-jawed at her. "I DIDN'T SAY THAT!", he shouted at her, ears bright red with embarrassment. " I MEAN, not that I won't miss you Uncle Sasuke, that's not what I meant I just-", he rambled before Sarada slapped her hand over his mouth. "That's enough Boruto", she said.
Sasuke glared at him and he backed up nervously. Sarada hugged her father tight and he patted her back with his arm. " I'll miss you dad", she said sadly. "I'll be back as soon as possible", he told her. Yeah i bet, soon for him is like twenty years for everyone else, thought Boruto. He wouldn't dare say it out loud.
Sasuke poked Sarada's forhead with his index and pointer finger and she smiled softly. He then gave Boruto a death glance before stalking off. Hold up, he thought, that's the same thing Sarada does to me. He looked at her in realization.
"What", she asked as he stared at her. " I know what it means", he sang, proud of himself for figuring it out. " What what means", she asked quizically.
He poked her forehead with his two fingers. "It means I love you", he stated proudly. She chuckled, "Great job, such a genius", she said sarcastically. He glared at her. "You could've just said you loved me", he said leaning close to her with a wide grin. She pushed his face away with her hand. "Yeah, well, that's embrassing". He smirked with satisfaction as he saw her face turn slightly red.
"Don't look at me like that", she told him, flustered. He smiled even bigger. " You're so annoying", she said, lightly punching his shoulder. He laughs, " You know you love me", he said turning to walk back home. "Do I?", she asked rhetorically. Boruto gasped, "I'm hurt Sarada!", he said wiping a fake tear. "Good", she said, giggling.
He swiftly kissed her on the lips and sprinted away. " Race you home!", he yelled back to her. " Boruto, you're so annoying!", she yells, chasing him.
