Today is the day I leave North Carolina for two years.
I grab my suitcases, and head downstairs.
I'm all ready.
I'm really excited to go to California, I've always wanted to go.
I eat a waffle, and I have twenty minutes to kill, so why not go to the treehouse.
I walk right out the door, without saying "be back later" or something normal.
I ain't about that life.

I climb up the ladder, and walk through the two rooms.
After I watch tv for a bit, I head home.
I'll miss this.
A lot.
When I'm walking home, I see a pair of eyes I don't want to see.
Ashley.
"Oh, you" she says, coming towards me.
"You pulled Hayes and I apart, you ugly piece of shi-" I stop her.
"Well, I'm leaving, so go crazy with Hayes" I say, pushing myself past her.

"Honey, we're leaving now" My mom says, walking down the stairs.
My mom is staying with me for a week in Cali, so I can get situated.
I nod, and walk outside to the car.

"You know I told Elizabeth, right" My mom begins, pulling into the airport.
Guilt swarms inside me.
"But she didn't tell Hayes. Just Nash. Hayes can't handle that" She says, opening the car door.

We were all situated waiting for our flight to be called.
"Can I go buy something at the diner?" I ask my mom, who's playing words with friends on her phone.
"Sure" she says, and hands me ten dollars.
I walk over and buy a milkshake.
(My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard ;))
---- Hayes POV ----
"So, I think you should go say goodbye" My mom says, finishing her statement.
She told me Jamie had left for a camp for two years.
"I have a plan"

Jamie POV
"Flight 682 to Los Angeles, now boarding" the speakers boom.
We get up and walk and after showing the attendant our tickets, and we walk through the terminal (whatever the thing is) and board the plane.
I sit by the window, and start to listen to my playlist on my phone.
Then the plane takes off, and I blow a kiss goodbye to North Carolina.
