Ritchie took Brandon to a pool and handed him a bathing suit, surprisingly nobody was there.
Brandon: "Now would be a good time to mention that I can't swim."
Brandon awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck looking down. Ritchie gently grabbed his hands and lifted Brandon's head up.
Ritchie: "That's ok, I'll teach you."
Ritchie got in the water and slowly had Brandon walk in, holding his hands until it was to his waist.
Ritchie: "Are you ok?"
Brandon:*joking and amused tone* "Yea I'm not afraid of water, I just don't know how to swim silly."
Ritchie: "Yea,yea. I'm going to have you float on your back and do what I call a jellyfish. It lets you float on your back and move around when you slowly move your limbs toward and away from your body, still on the surface of the water. That's if it's ok with you."
Brandon: "Yea, I'm fine with that."
Slowly Ritchie put Brandon on his back, adjusting his body to make sure he would float. He kept his hands under his head, ready to bring it up.
Ritchie: "You ready to move on?"
Brandon: "Yes, this is relaxing though."
Ritchie: "That's the point of starting with this one. Now pay attention to what I'm doing."
Ritchie swam to one side and back.
Ritchie: "I'll be holding your hand as we practice thoese motions."
Ritchie held Brandon hands as he kicked his legs. They switched from practicing his arm and hand motions.
Ritchie: "You think you can swim to me if I let go?"
Brandon: "Yea."
Ritchie went a decent distance to were Brandon could easily swim to him and where he could get to him of need be. Brandon managed to shakily swim, only fully submerging once.
Ritchie: "Good job!"
Brandon: "Thank you, we should probably get some food and head back."
