The next day was here, and I was already driving to school. Today, I decided to wear my hair in a bun, a white cashmere sweater, dark blue skinny jeans, and my brown boots that stopped just below my knees. And to top it off, I wore my cat eye sunglasses and my golden locket, with a pair of pearl earrings.

I pulled up in a random parking space and got out of my car, bringing my bag with me. I entered the school, and just as I expected, Livie was patiently waiting for me at my locker, her eyes on her phone. She wore a simple pink t-shirt with her shorts overalls and a pair of sandals, with her hair in a ponytail.

"Heyy," I said, coming closer. "Girl, you look amazing!" She said, walking around me to inspect. "You look great too, Livie" I said with a chuckle.

"Soo, are you gonna tell me about your life now or what?" Livie smirked.

"Who first? Admirer or Alice?" I asked.

"Umm...how about Alice?"

"Very well then. So, when she saw me at her house, at first she didn't wanna talk, but then I managed to convince her to let me in. Our conversation though...well, it displayed a side of Alice I didn't even know existed. She was so...cold and demanding. I tried to apologize, but she claimed that she knew it wasn't my fault, but on the other hand..." I trailed off, and Livie gave me a reassuring nod.

"She told me she knew I liked Chase, and so she told me to back off. Threatened me even. A-and she told me they already...they already kissed," I finished before biting down on my lip.

I glanced up at Livie. And her facial expression displayed utter shock. Even her mouth hung open. She better watch out for flies.

"What. The. Fuck." She said.

"Oh, and she called truce after I basically broke down over our friendship," I chimed in.

"Celine! Alice can't treat you like that. That's a bitch move. And since she already did, she's not worth being friends with. It's not like Chase is her boyfriend and your trying to steal him away from her. She just being super naive and jealous! I swear, when she comes, I'm gonna tell her a piece of my fucking mind," Livie argued.

"You shouldn't even be friends with her. And she just lost the two of us, too. Cause I'm not gonna stick around with sore bitches," Livie finished.

"Oh Livie, please don't tell her off. That'd make things worse," I begged.

"She should've thought of that when she did that shit. I'd be damned if she got away with it," Livie replied with a snarl.

"Speak of the devil," I said, looking up the corridor. Alice was still a bit far away, but from the looks of it, she was seriously slouching and walking slower than a turtle. I realized people were pointing at her, whispering in each others' ears.

As she neared, she looked worse than I thought. Her hair was really frizzy, clearly not combed. And her clothes were a mess.

"What the hell happened to her?" Livie said, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't have one clue. She was perfectly fine yesterday," I said, my eyes never leaving Alice.

She came even closer me us, and I could now see her facial features.

She looked like she was in shock. Traumatized. Her whole face was blotchy and had tear stains, and her eyes were seriously red, puffy and full of tears. She actually looked completely zoned out, walking down the corridor like a zombie with wide eyes.

She looked horrible.

She was about to pass us, not even realizing we were there. I stopped her by holding on to her shoulders, spinning her fragile body around to face me.
