I returned to school the next morning, Tuesday. This time, I wore a pink Adidas hoodie with white jeans and black kicks. I was currently in Mrs Benson's class again. The same place I got my first secret admirer note. Bearing that in mind, I made sure to keep an eye out this time for anyone suspicious.
I eyed everyone like a hawk. And not only was I listening to Mrs Benson's lecture, but I had ears out for any other activity. I waited and waited for what seemed like a long time, but no avail. I guess whoever it is knows I'm watching out for them.
I sighed, after thirty minutes into class. I felt like giving up. And I also felt like taking a nap. I dozed off for a while...
I heard shuffling behind me. My eyes flew open, ready to catch this person red-handed. I spun in my seat, facing Josh Green, the red head that sits behind me. "Ah ha!" I said, pointing at his face. He gave me a startled look, slowly turning into confusion.
"What?"
"I caught you, Josh. You're the one leaving those notes behind," I gave him a pointed look. He can't dare lie to me.
He stared at me for a few more seconds...
"What?"
"Don't be ridiculous. You know what I'm talking about. So don't play dumb with me."
"Umm, honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Then why were you moving closer to my seat?" I asked, starting to dread that he might not have been who I was looking for.
"My paper flew off the desk, man" he, raising his eyebrow.
"O-oh. Sorry" I said, slowly spinning back around. How embarrassing.
"This girl is trippin'," I heard him mumble.
Embarrassment and shame washed over me as I put my head on the desk. Fuck admirers. Fuck Alice. Fuck life.

"You won't believe what the fuck happened in Mrs Benson's class today," I told Livie, as we stood by my locker.
"What happened?"
"I embarrassed myself. Again. I thought Josh Green was the admirer. But all I did was embarrass myself. I told him that I knew he's the one who's been sending those notes, and he looked at me as if I'm an escapee from the rehab."
Livie laughed. "What did I tell you? You're crazy. But in a good way. The world needs crazy now and then...what the actual fuck?" Livie trailed off, staring down the corridor. I followed her gaze, and I let out a gasp at what I saw.
Alice. Alice and her now purple hair.
Her usual long, straight blonde hair was now shoulder length, curly and, well...purple. I'm not gonna lie though, it's really good look. Not a lot of people pull off purple very well.
"Woah. She looks like she signed up to be a clown or something. All she's missing is the bright red nose and those huge shoes," Livie laughed.
"Ahh, come on Liv. It actually looks great," I debated.
"Let's be real: you know I'll never say that as long as I live."
I laughed. I glanced back at Alice, and to my surprise, she was already looking at us, with a snarl on her face. Looks like we got some beef going on.
I quickly looked away, when my eyes landed on Chase, just a few meters away. I gasped, not knowing what to do. And I certainly didn't want Alice to catch me staring at him. I gave her a side glance, and, well...she was full on glaring. At me. I guess I've already been caught.
