The Meeting

I pulled up in front of the coffee shop, slowly starting to hyperventilate as memories from my previous visit fly about my head. I had ten minutes till 4 o' clock.

Come to think of it, that's all the time I need just speed it back home, change into my comfy PJs, and watch some Harry Potter with a big bowl of popcorn in my lap...

You're a chicken

I'm sorry, what was that?

I said, you're a chicken

Oh yeah? I'll prove you wrong.

Bitch please.

Oh shut up!...

I frowned upon realization that I was having a stupid argument with my brain. I sighed, opening my car door and heading straight for the coffee shop's door.

And yes, I'm wearing my flats.

I let the exciting aroma of coffee fill my nostrils as I sighed in satisfaction. I looked around, noticing a lot of people from my school were here. I even saw Allison chatting with a large group of friends, all of them sipping on some coffee.

I decided to probably avoid her and head the opposite direction, trying to find a nice table for Chase and I to sit. I found one next to a window that gives a good view of Las Vegas and it's many lights. I took a seat right there, subconsciously fumbling with my locket.

I can hardly believe I was about to sit less than a meter away from Chase and his godly gorgeousness. I sudden rush of nervousness filled though my core when I thought of being this close to him.

What if he was like...just a nanometer away?

I'd turn into water on the spot.

I waited for what seemed like a long time, and when I checked the time on my phone, it was 4:09 pm. I slowly started to worry that he might not show up.

Maybe I'm just being naive. It's was only a few minutes after all.

But what if I'm wrong? What if this was all a prank? And he lured me here to be laughed at. I was already picturing the Instagram feed: Celine, the pathetic loner and wanna-be girlfriend of Chase, one of the most popular and sexiest guys in school. I sighed in defeat at the thought.

I tried to relax and remain calm, but more time was passing, as well as my doubt was beginning to grow.

4:15pm. No Chase.

4:20pm. No Chase.

4:27pm. No Chase.

Is my time fast? Please tell me it's fast...

I groaned, pitying myself. What the heck was taking him so long? Is he even gonna show up? I didn't even order anything yet, and all I had in the last five hours was a bag of chips and frozen pizza. In other words, I was starving.

There were even a few people giving me weird glances, wondering why was I sitting there by myself for so long. I hate whenever this place stares at me as if I had bright purple skin.

I can't take this any longer.

Depression washed over me as I got up. I can't believe he asked me out, then abandoned me here like a piece of shit. I opened the door, letting the cool outdoor breeze kiss my skin. I walked over to my car, and I was fishing for my key, when someone tapped my shoulder.

I whipped my head around, startled at the sudden touch, and my eyes widened when I saw who it was. Anger fuelled me up as I prepared to tell this guy about his fucked up ass.
