Mansions

It's Sunday morning. And Sunday was just an annoying reminder that the next day was Monday, but right now, I couldn't care less about that. I was preparing to go see the new house, and I invited Livie along. I tried to invite Hannah, but she said she had a family barbeque to attend.

I didn't feel like wearing anything trendy, so I decided on a pair of black and pink floral leggings, and a white v-neck t-shirt, finishing the look with my locket and small, pearl earrings. I also decided to leave my dark, hip length hair down.

I wasted no time going down to the kitchen, and once I got there, I took in the most wonderful scent in the world...

FOOD!!!

Mom stood around the stove, stirring up the pot, while dad sat around the island, sipping his coffee.

"Buenas días," I said.

"Good morning," they responded in unison.

Then, the door bell rang. "I'll get it," I told them, heading to the door. I opened to reveal Livie, who wore overalls with a purple t-shirt, white sneakers, and a white cap, wearing her hair in a ponytail. "What's up, girly?" she greeted, coming in.

"Oh, the norms." We walked back into the kitchen.

"Breakfast is ready. I decided to make the national dish of Jamaica. May I introduce to you, Ackee and Saltfish. Watch out, though, it's spicy," mom smiled.

I observed the yellow clusters in the plate, mixed with what I guess was to be the fish.

Mom shared out some food for dad, Livie and herself, before taking a seat.

"You're like the perfect chef sent from heaven," Livie commented, taking a mouthful of her food.

"Yeah, this is really good," dad added.

"As usual," I chimed in.

"Thanks guys. I might add it to the menu at the restaurant," she smiled.

We all ate up our Jamaican delicacy in peace.

Mom went off to work, while dad, Livie and I filed into dad's Range Rover. "I actually can't wait to see the new house," Livie said.

"Ahh. I can't wait to move in all the nice accessories and furniture. It'll be fun," dad smirked. "Chandeliers, electric toilets, pools, you name it. It'll all be there."

Wait. What?

Electric toilets...

Wow. Just wow.

I realized we pulled up in front of a huge, golden gate, with a few securities here and there. I watched in amazement as dad nodded at them, and they opened the gates.

I thought dad said he was bringing us to our new house, not a royal castle.

There was a long, bright blue river, surrounded by lush grass, trees, and the road that dad was driving on. He pulled up in front of this colossal house. In fact, it's too big to be called a 'house'.

"It's a freaking mansion!" Livie squealed, rushing out of the vehicle.

I'm pretty sure my mouth was hanging open for a bit too long.

A mansion? I'm gonna live in a mansion?!

"Uhh, dad? Are you sure that GPS of yours didn't carry us to the wrong place?" I looked around, pinching myself for good measure.

He laughed, "I assure you, Celine. We're at the right place."

We got out of the car, and dad bought us to the front door...or should I say double doors.

Once the door opened, my eyes widened to the size of saucers. The place was so gorgeous. The front room had huge white marble tiles, a large chandelier, and a black, sleek staircase.

This place puts the Queen of England to shame.

"This is beautiful, dad."

"Yeah, I'm speechless," Livie added.

"You guys haven't seen anything yet. Follow me," we walked to our left, and we followed. He brought us to a big room, which is what I suppose to be the kitchen. The same marble tiles were here, with fancy wooden cupboards, the island, and a huge empty space in the middle, which is where I guessed a dinner table is supposed to go. The room had large windows, edged with gold.

"Actually girls, you can go ahead and do some exploring of your own. Just be careful, it's a big place, and I don't want you getting lost."

Livie and I smirked at each other. We rushed upstairs, and the first place I saw was the bathroom. Walking in, there was a huge, golden standing shower, along with a matching sink and toilet. I realised the shower had a freaking music player inside, with the little seat, and a lot of water adjustments. It's gonna take a while for me to figure out how this shit works. Not to mention the electric toilet.

"OMG, come check this out!" I heard Livie's voice echo through the house. I exited the bathroom and followed her voice. I came onto transparent, double doors, that leaded to a huge balcony, with fairy lights bordering the edge of the wall. There stood Livie, admiring the view. "It's amazing how I can see so much from here. There's even a nice pool down the bottom," she said.

I came next to her, looking at the vast greenery, when I suddenly saw someone jogging in the distance...

The guy was shirtless, and his muscles flexed with every step. Livie realized I was looking. "Oh. He's...okay."

"Are you kidding? He's got abs to die for!" I corrected.

Then the most ridiculous thing happened. The guy looked up at us, smiled, and literally tripped over himself, falling flat on his face.

Well, there goes my interest.

"Woah, is he okay?" Livie stifled a laugh.

"Probably not. Let's go down," I suggested, heading out to the back, with Livie on my trail.

Turns out the journey was a longer one than I thought it would be.

Once we got to the back, the guy was already back on his feet, but the fence was between us, so we couldn't really get on the other side.

"Ahh shit. That was so embarrassing. But I guess I'm tripping for you," he winked at Livie. She blushed, "We sort of just checked to see if you were okay."

"I'm okay, now that you're here. So what's your name, princess?"

I think this is my cue to give them some privacy.

Backing away slowly, I continued my journey around the house, when I saw dad on the other end. There was also this huge thing covered up with fabric nearby.

"Sweetie, I have something for you. And I promise you will love it," he moved to the huge object, pulling off the fabric.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Stood there, was the sexiest car I've ever seen in my life. It was bright yellow, too, with such an intricate design.

"It's called the Ferrari Enzo," dad smiled.

"Wait a minute. Isn't that like, one of the most expensive cars for this year?!" I gasped.

He shrugged, "Well, yes. I'm not even gonna let you know how much it costs, but it's crazy expensive, so I really need you to take good care of her, okay?"

I went up to him and gave him a bear hug. "Thanks a million, dad. This is amazing. And don't worry, I'll take care of it."

Just then, I heard Livie squeal, running to the car like a four year old seeing a unicorn for the first time.

"It's so awesome. Girl, you have to let me ride in this thing with you," she admired the bright sheen of the yellow Enzo, literally giving the car a hug.

I just smiled.
