It's been two weeks since I've been to Chase's house. I'm currently at my locker with Hannah, waiting for Livie to show up.
"Yah know, I volunteered to help out with this year's Summer Prom," Hannah said, a proud smile on her face.
"Really? That's awesome. What are you going to do?"
"I'm on decorating duty."
"But isn't the Summer Prom in June? Why are you preparing for it so early? It's April for crying out loud," I said.
"But we can't wait till last minute either. It's gonna take a lot of time and money to make it perfect."
For a split second, I imagine Chase and I dancing at a royal ball, but I quickly shook that thought away. Nope, not today.
I saw Livie coming towards us just then. She waved to Lila, who blew her a kiss, before coming to hug Hannah and I.
"Omg! I can't wait for my birthday bash next month!" Livie squealed.
"You're having a party?" Hannah gasped.
"Of course. Everyone's gonna be invited."
My mind suddenly drifted off to Alice. I actually really miss her old self. But now that I think about it, even her old self had some intoxicated areas.
"I gotta go shopping later on this month. And you guys are gonna help me out. We need to have decorations, food, and sexy clothes.
"Ok, you can count on us." We talked for some more about her party, and I after the bell rang, I felt a serious urge to use the bathroom. "Hey, I gotta go to the girl's room. I'll meet you guys at class, alright?"
"Sure," Livie said.
"Just make sure you look at your pants twice before you leave the stalls," Hannah said, reminding me of my 'incident'.
"Haha, how hilarious," I bluntly. I left to use the bathroom, and by the time I used the stalls, and reapplied some makeup, I was already 15 minutes late. "Crap. I hope I don't get a detention.
I left the bathroom, only to see the hall monitor in front of me.
Shit. He's the last person I need to see me right now. If he sees me out here, I'm in some deep shit.
I looked around me quickly, searching for the nearest escape. I saw the janitor's closet nearby, and I quickly broke into a sprint towards it.
I thanked God the door wasn't locked, as I quickly stepped inside and closed the door. I sighed, looking around the small, gloomy room. I searched the walls for a light switch. I could have sworn I felt the wall move, but I didn't really pay attention to it anyway. At least, not until it spoke.
It was the softest whisper.
"Boo."
I screamed and jumped away from the wall, crashing into a couple of empty paint cans. The light switched on, and in front of me stood Chase.
"Shhhh! The monitor is in this hall," he said, but he was smirking.
"Yeah, well no shit Sherlock," I mumbled, rubbing my butt from the sudden impact.
"It's nice to see you too," he rolled his eyes. "So I guess we're in here for the same reason, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess," I shrugged.
"What are you even doing this late out of class? Aren't you a goody-two-shoes kind of girl?"
"I just had to go use the bathroom. What about you? What are you doing out of class so late?"
"It's only been ten minutes. Besides, I lost track of time," he shrugged.
"Well, I thought you were a goody-two-shoes kind of guy. Missing classes, eh?" I smirked. I had to move closer to him, since this room was so small, and I barely had space to breath. Or think. Or do anything.
"Come on, don't be such a hypocrite," he narrowed his eyes playfully.
"I could say the same for you..." I stepped closer. He stared at me, as if he was trying to figure something out.
"Well, I'd love to stay in here with you, but we're gonna run out of oxygen and pass out if the hall monitor doesn't leave anytime soon."
I pouted. "Are you telling me to shut up?"
He sighed. "That's not what I said-"
I suddenly tripped over a bucket, falling onto Chase, my hands and my head on his chest. He grabbed me before I could fall to the ground, holding my shoulders. "Woah there pumpkin! Are you alright?" he asked, staring into my soul.
I stared into his blue eyes, completely at lost for words. They were just so...hypnotic. Captivating. Deep.
"Yeah," I whispered, not wanting my voice to break this moment. I slowly stood straight, not breaking eye contact, but Chase still held onto me, letting his hands rest on my waist.
"You're doing something to me, Celine. You're every move affects me. I can't even think about anything clearly when you're nearby. All because I'm busy thinking about you," he smiled softly.
"So...you have feelings for me?" I wanted to confirm before I did anything crazy.
"Yeah...I have feelings for you-"he said, but I didn't allow him to finish. I smashed my lips on his, wrapping my arm around his neck to deepen the kiss.
At first, he stiffened, as if he was shocked. But just seconds after, he kissed me back, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him.
I swear, it was so electrifying that I felt so numb, but alive at the same time. Ours lips moved in perfect sync, as we explored each other's mouths. Did I mention that he tasted like vanilla? It's actually the best vanilla I've ever tasted!
Our slow and tender kiss became more passionate and desperate. I don't think I could stop even if I wanted to. His hands roamed down to my butt, giving it a good squeeze, I gasped, giving him plenty of access to my mouth-
"Hey!!! Who locked the door?!" someone barked, making me jump a mile away from Chase. I watched as he rolled his eyes and opened the door, revealing the little, skinny old lady who so happened to be a janitor returning a mop to the closet that we currently occupied.
Thanks for ruining the moment, Granny.
"I hate when you scallywags make out in our closet. No respect. I ought to report you two to the principal. You think you're gonna get away with your nastiness? Eh?" the old lady rambled.
I watched as Chase pushed his hand into his pocket, pulling out a thousand bucks. He handed it to the lady. "You can keep that as long as you keep you're trap shut, got it?" he threatened.
"Yes sir. I won't say a single word about it," she smiled suddenly, eyeing the money as if it were a handsome man.
He stared at her for three more seconds, before grabbing my hand and leaving her without another word.
"Chase? Why are you walking around with so much money at school? The lunch here barely costs anything," I stated.
"Is there something wrong with wanting to flex once in a while?" he smirked. I couldn't say yes, cause then I'd be a hypocrite.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. But I still couldn't stop thinking about our kiss a couple seconds ago...
