Chapter 7

Harvey POV

After we arrived at the hospital the paramedics rushed Zelk into a room and I stayed outside, with two police officers.

I hadn't realized how hard I was crying until I got out of the police car. Tears were streaming down my face due to the shock. I was shaking so much I couldn't even walk in a straight line.

I wanted to see Zelk but the policemen wanted to question me about the whole situation.

After a ton of questions, they finally let me in.

I went into Zelk's room and there was a doctor.

"Luckily your friend is fine, you were able to save him. If you had called an ambulance five minutes later he'd be probably dead now."

"Is h-he okay now?"

"He lost quite a lot of blood, but he'll survive."

"When will he b-be able to get out of the h-hospital?"

"He'll stay in the hospital for five days, so we can be sure that he's fine."

"Oh o-okay."

"You can stay if you want, he'll wake up soon."

I sat down next to Zelk. The doc walked out of the room.

How did this happen?

What even Happened?!

How did Zak know something was wrong?

At least I got there in time.

Zelk would have been gone if I hadn't agreed to go and see him.

I should probably call Zak.

I pulled out my phone, my hands trembling slightly. I found his contact on my list. I pressed the icon and slowly brought the phone to my ear.

Zak picked up.

"Hey, is everything okay?"

"N-not really... We're in t-the hospital"

"Wait, what! What happened?"

" I went t-to his house a-a-and-"

I took a moment to calm down and catch my breath.

I explained to Zak what happened the best I could with as many details as possible.

After I finished he stayed quiet.

"Did he fall out of the tree?"

"I told you, I don't know!"

I saw out of the corner of my eye Zelk move. I turned to face him

"Oh, you're awake!"

For a hot second, I forgot I was still on the phone with Zak.

"Did he wake up!?"

"Where am I?" Questioned Zelk looking hella confused.

"We're in the hospital."

Zelk POV

I blinked twice, my vision is still blurry.

Wait I'm alive...! I didn't die?

"In the hospital...? What happened- wait."

Everything came back to me.

"How did you know I fell... Actually, how did you get in my backyard?"

"I had a weird gut feeling, so I sent Harv to check on you, though I don't know how he got in." Said someone from Harvey's phone.
