Chapter 9

Mega POV

After a while of driving, I finally reached my destination.

I talked with Zelk when I stopped for a break, and he told me about the hospital he was currently in.

(I don't know a lot about hospitals so if this isn't accurate I'm sorry)

I parked and grabbed my notebook and a pen, before walking inside.

I walked up to the front desk.

"How can I help you Sir?" a lady asked a bit annoyed

I wrote in my notebook:
"I'm here to visit a patient in room 115"

She gave me a weird look and huffed.

"It's on the second floor. After you take the elevator you'll turn left." She mumbled.

As I began walking towards the elevator, I heard her say under her breath "Pathetic mute".

I lowered my head.

Mega look on the bright side, you're seeing Zelk! In the hospital... But it's still Zelk.

I turned left and walked down the hallway.

110, 111, 112, 113, 114... funny number, Zelk was so close to being in this room.

Anyways 115. I stood outside of the room before reality hit me hard.

Suddenly I felt my heart pound faster and faster. Sweat began dripping off of my fave. My knees got weak, my arms heavy, my palms sweaty.

What am I even doing?

Does he even want to see me?

Is he okay with me visiting without telling him?

We haven't seen each other in a long time, what if he doesn't like me?

I mean, what am I even going to say?
Well, I won't say anything.

I took a deep breath and knocked.

I felt my face hit up a bit. Wait am I blushing?! What the heck?

"Huh, come in!" I heard someone yell from inside the room.

Zelk POV

The door pushed slowly open revealing a short boy.

It had light brown hair, dark oak eyes, and a bit weird looking spot on his face- wait is THAT MEGA?

I froze in place.

He held up his notebook, "hi Zelk".

His mute? This has to be him.

"Mega is that you?" Where the only words I was able to say.

He wrote, "The one and only".

Oh my gosh, he looked so cuteee and small!

Hold on, what? Cute?!

"Why are you here?"

"I came to surprise you, idiot"

He lifted up his head a bit, revealing his smile.

I felt like my heart was going to burst open any second now.

"O-oh, I'm sorry our first time meeting in a long time is in a hospital..."

"And I'm sorry you had to see me at the lowest point in my life."

Mega walked over to me, closing the door behind him.

He wiped away the tears forming in my eyes.

He showed me his notebook once again,
"Why the lowest point in your life?"
