As Yoongi was now driving towards the ER Jungkook suddenly spoke up "I don't think we should go to the hospital here" Taehyung snapped his head up and looked at Jungkook in shock "What? But you need medical attention, Jungkook" Taehyung motioned to the bullet wound on Jungkook's side "Yeah, you could die" Hoseok added as he looked over his shoulder at the younger male

Jungkook exhaled "I know I do, but I don't think we should go to this one. I don't want to be on file here where everyone will be able to tell the police we were there. I mean, Tae, you just shot someone, your father, a cop. And we know he had one person with him who wouldn't hesitate to look for your father and file a murder case on it since he must be just as illegal as your father was. We have to leave town" Jungkook explained but quickly clasped a hand over his wound as it throbbed in pain

"The next town is nearly a days drive away" Yoongi stated worriedly as he glanced at Jungkook through the mirror "It's a chance I'm willing to take," Jungkook said sternly but it didn't sit well with Taehyung "I can't let you go a whole day without getting this checked out" Taehyung huffed, worried for Jungkook who rolled his eyes "Yoongi, don't listen to Taehyung, I know what I'm doing" Jungkook ignored Taehyung's please for him to get checked out here and Yoongi had no choice but to follow Jungkook's command

Taehyung huffed in annoyance as Jungkook didn't listen to him and crossed his arms, leaning into the backdoor and keeping his eyes out the window as Yoongi was turning the car around, it wasn't fair for Jungkook to ignore Taehyung when he was only trying to save Jungkook's life

Jungkook noticed Taehyung's attitude but decided not to speak to him as his side was killing him and he had to keep up his big, bad-boy attitude in front of Taehyung and his friends

The four boys had been driving for a few hours by now, Hoseok had fallen asleep in the passenger seat, Yoongi silently driving, Taehyung still sulking and Jungkook still secretly in pain. Jungkook looked over at Taehyung and gently took his hand which caused the older boy to look over at Jungkook in confusion, I mean, couldn't Jungkook see Taehyung was still mad at him?

"I'm sorry I ignored you, I just didn't want us to get caught for doing something that should have been done. Your father deserved to be killed and I'm glad you were the one to do it. He shouldn't have been allowed to walk this earth in the first place, but since he did he fucked it up worse than what it was without him. And my mother might have been a bitch but no one deserved to marry a man like him, so, even if I despise my mother, I still don't want to see her become miserable and possibly meet the end that your poor mother succumbed to. You don't have to forgive me, I'm not asking you to, I just want you to know that I don't think you deserve to go to prison over doing something that had to be done for you to live. You basically killed him in self-defense since he would have killed you if you hadn't shot him, but I know how the police work, they would never believe your side of the story. I'm just protecting you" Jungkook explained softly, hoping Taehyung understood

Taehyung stared at Jungkook in silence for a moment before sighing and laying his head on Jungkook's shoulder "I understand, Jungkook...I'm just worried is all" Taehyung mumbled out as he intertwined their fingers together which made the youngest boy smile softly "I know you're worried but I'm gonna be fine. I can already tell you the bullet missed any important organs" Jungkook lightly squeezed Taehyung's hand to soothe his worry "Well that's good, but I'll wait to throw a party until after the doctor says so" Taehyung chuckled softly which earned him a kiss to the forehead which made Taehyung blush softly

Finally, after the sun had set and the time was creeping towards midnight, the four boys found themselves at the hospital in Seoul where Jungkook was led inside and immediately taken into surgery while the other three waited it out in the waiting room
