Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jungkook piled into Yoongi's car while Namjoon and Seokjin got into theirs, Seokjin attempting to get ahold of the police along with Yoongi while Hoseok was shakily trying to call Jimin in hopes either boy would answer and tell them they were ok
Jungkook was silent the whole time, the only thing going through his mind was Taehyung and how this would have never happened if he just told Taehyung he couldn't hang out with them nearly two months ago "It's all my fault..." Jungkook muttered to himself, the other two too occupied in their calls to notice Jungkook's words of self pitty
"They had the wreck on *** heading out of town! You need to hurry, we're driving there now" Yoongi told the EMS over the phone while Hoseok was ugly crying in the passenger seat while still calling Jimin's phone constantly "Hyung's, where were they going?" Jungkook asked sternly, wanting answers "We weren't supposed to tell you Jungkook, but they were heading back to Taehyung's house to retrieve the picture of his mother" Yoongi spoke quickly over his shoulder before returning to the phone call
Jungkook scoffed in disbelief as he crossed his arms, his side throbbing but he ignored it. Suddenly, Hoseok's phone rang "Oh my god!" Hoseok shouted in hopes it was Jimin, but it was just Seokjin "Yah, I thought it was Jimin-ssi!" Hoseok sobbed through the line "Hey! This would have never happened if you 4 never showed up! Now our friend is probably dead and it's your fault! He's never been able to tell someone no even if he should, like driving your stupid friend some ungodly place!" Seokjin shouted through the phone which caused Hoseok to sob harder so Jungkook swiped the phone
"Listen here asshole! Taehyung is my everything and he would have never asked Jimin to take him if he knew something like this would happen! It was a freak accident and neither of them could have possibly known it was going to happen! Taehyung didn't even have a car and he trusted Jimin enough to ask for his help, why can't you be more like Jimin, huh? Instead, you're constantly nagging at us like we're some kind of disease that wormed our way into y'all's apartment, we didn't even intend to do that, Jimin invited us to stay, so really it's not our faults at all!" Jungkook spat into the phone, the words rolling off his tongue as if he were rapping
The line went silent for a moment before the call ended, Seokjin had nothing good to say back and hung up. Jungkook exhaled and passed the phone back to Hoseok who clutched it in his hands to his chest "Do you think they're ok?" Hoseok asked as he looked back at Jungkook who bit his lip "I hope so, but we won't know until we get there" Hoseok nodded and looked down, he had given up trying to call Jimin for now. The car went silent except for Yoongi talking to the EMS over the phone
The time ticked by slowly and quickly at the same time, it felt like they were driving for hours but also like they were driving for just seconds, neither person spoke unless it was Yoongi talking to the EMS and Police who were still on the line for when they had to meet halfway since it would be them getting to the wreckage before the EMS. Suddenly, Yoongi spotted some debris on the road "Hold on, I see something!" The sudden excitement in Yoongi's voice brought Hoseok and Jungkook's attention to the scene out the window, slowly, more and more debris was showing up until the headlights of Yoongi's car illuminated Jimin's tipped over car, smoke still steaming from the hood which was face down to the ground
Yoongi slammed on his breaks and pulled to the side of the road where he and the other two quickly fled the car and rushed to the overturned car, Seokjin and Namjoon pulled up behind Yoongi's car and rushed to catch up to the others "Jimin!? Taehyung?!" Hoseok called as they neared the wreckage off in the brush, it was a little less than 4 hours since the wreck had happened since Yoongi was speeding and it was pitch black dark once they arrived "Ho--Seok...?" Jimin's frail voice could be heard from inside the tipped car, Hoseok and Yoongi were the first to reach the wrecked car and quickly kneeled to look inside, blood and debris littered the inside of the car, Jimin stuck in his seat by the seatbelt which was lodged into the buckle and unable to be unclipped so he was upside down for quite a while, Taehyung was barely conscious as he laid on the roof-turned-floor in the backseat, his body was the most bloody
