Picture Adventure

It's been a couple of days since Taehyung broke up with Jungkook, the two barely speaking unless forced to by the others, Seokjin and Namjoon still oblivious to why they broke up and of the true story of them all being here since Taehyung asked Jimin not to tell

Taehyung sat at the table in the kitchen, Jimin across from him since he asked to speak with him alone, the others all out or in their rooms "So what did you want to talk about?" Jimin asked curiously with a tilt of his head "Hyung...I need you to take me back to my father's house. I need the picture of my mother" Taehyung stated and looked up to meet Jimin's gaze "But...wouldn't you be at a higher risk to get caught?" Jimin asked worriedly, gripping Taehyung's hands that were lightly fisted on the tabletop "Yes...but it's my only picture of her and me and I can't leave it there" Taehyung sat straight, determined to retrieve the picture with or without Jimin's help

Jimin nodded firmly "Ok, I will take you. When should we go?" Jimin patted the table with his palm "After you get off work? Maybe when the others are asleep?" Taehyung questioned, either of those was fine with him "Ok! Its a deal" Jimin smiled warmly "Thanks Hyung. If you have to tell anybody please just keep it between you, Yoongi, and Hoseok Hyung, I don't want Jungkook to know" Taehyung lowered his head and sighed to which Jimin nodded to "I won't tell him, he still acts pretty protective over you even if you two aren't together anymore" Jimin commented before standing up "Yeah..." Taehyung trailed off

Jimin patted Taehyung's shoulder before heading to the door "I'm gonna go pick up some snacks for when we leave tonight!" Jimin chimed before leaving the apartment, just as he did Jungkook emerged from the hallway and halted in his steps when seeing Taehyung who immediately attempted to avoid eye contact "Jungkook" Taehyung bowed slightly to the younger who ignored him as he continued into the kitchen to grab some food, Jungkook has been really cold towards Taehyung since they broke up but Taehyung knew it was for the best, for both of them

"Well, if you're gonna keep acting this way" Taehyung huffed as he stood from the table and stomped over to the couch where he promptly sat down. Jungkook watched over his shoulder through his bangs that covered his eyes before scoffing to himself and taking a bowl of cereal back to his bedroom, his spare hand holding his wounded side which Taehyung noticed and slowly relaxed as he thought back on how Jungkook got it, the scene playing out in his head like it had just happened moments ago when in reality it was days ago. Taehyung brought his knees to his chest as he continued to think farther back to all their stunts together, the abuse his father put onto him, the time his mother was murdered and his reenactment of that, to the time his mother was alive and sharing the best memories with Taehyung

Taehyung wiped his eyes with the back of his hand as he felt them begin to tear up, he and Jungkook had been through a lot together in such a short while, but Taehyung knew they were both too fucked up to keep seeing each other and when Jungkook didn't continue to fight back and try to keep Taehyung he knew Jungkook didn't really love him, he was just a toy to him... Taehyung let out a deep sigh before shaking the thoughts away and turning the tv on to occupy his mind

Taehyung noticed the news was on and they were reporting a cop who was relieved of duty due to acting on his own without the force. Taehyung quickly grabbed the remote and turned the volume up as a picture of the cop was shown, it was his father's cop buddy! Taehyung couldn't believe his eyes as he slowly stood to move closer to the tv

"The man shown has been released from the police department of *** due to following out a case with two of his personal hound dogs, neither dog properly trained for police work but were qualified to track. The man was working with another cop who has not been back to the police station in many days, no one currently knows what happened to him and haven't been able to get much out of the cop being relieved"
