Headin' Out

As the afternoon rolled around Jimin and Taehyung were brought home to the group apartment with strict instructions to relax the rest of the day, which was easy for the lot to do since they barely had any rest all night. Taehyung sat down on the couch, which was his bed currently, and looked up at his tired Hyung's "Has anyone heard from Jungkook?" Taehyung asked as he watched Seokjin go down the hallway to his and Namjoon's room, probably to sleep since he was tired "Uh, no. Sorry Taehyung" Yoongi spoke after checking his phone, followed by Hoseok, Namjoon, and Jimin

Taehyung sighed and leaned back into the couch "We should get some rest. Tae, you should sleep in the bed since Jungkook isn't here" Jimin spoke up, a hand on Taehyung's knee "He's right, we have no idea when or even if Jungkook will be back so you might as well take advantage of the free bed" Yoongi smiled while motioning for Jimin to come with him and Hoseok to their room "I guess...rest well Hyung's" Taehyung stood up and walked passed the three before closing the door of Jungkook's room and crawling into the bed, it smelled like Jungkook and Taehyung couldn't help but breath the scent in and exhale with a sigh before repeating the process

Before long the whole apartment was silent as everyone had fallen asleep, just then, Jungkook entered the apartment quietly, somehow knowing everyone would be asleep, Taehyung's picture clutched in his hand as he glanced to the couch expecting to see Taehyung but didn't. Jungkook furrowed his brows before walking further into the apartment and noticed his door was closed, curious, Jungkook advanced to the door which he slowly opened it to see Taehyung sound asleep in his bed hugging the pillow Jungkook slept on

Jungkook smiled and entered the room, quietly shutting the door behind him before walking over to the bed and admiring the sleeping boy, slowly running his hand through Taeyung's hair "Hmm..." Taehyung groaned in his sleep and his eyes slowly opened, Jungkook bit his lip and stepped away "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" Jungkook spoke in a whisper "Jungkook...where have you been?" Taehyung slowly sat up, looking at Jungkook in surprise "Uh, well..." Jungkook started but instead of finishing he held the picture out to Taehyung who quickly turned on the lamp by the bed and snatched the picture "Oh my God, you didn't!" Taehyung gaped at the picture before looking up at Jungkook with sparkling eyes "But I did. I hope you can forgive me for all the things I've done...and, I understand why we can't be together" Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and looked away from Taehyung

Taehyung stared at Jungkook for a second "Well...I was gonna kiss you, but...I guess it would contradict things, huh?" Taehyung huffed in amusement at his thought to kiss Jungkook "Well, what if we called it a goodbye kiss? Letting each other know we both agreed to this breakup and that we promise to stay friends?" Jungkook asked hopefully while looking into Taehyung's eyes

Taehyung chuckled, his lips formed a box shape as he smiled "I guess that wouldn't hurt" Taehyung mumbled before propping up on his knees and wrapping his arms around Jungkook's neck as he stood by the bed and placed his hands on Taehyung's hips. Slowly, the two leaned in, their eyes locked on each other's lips until they got close enough and both sets of beautiful orbs closed as their lips touched and slowly moved in unison like they were meant to be like the missing puzzle piece found its mate, like both of them found their happiness, but the kiss of fate lasted just minutes before Taehyung broke it and shared a long gaze with Jungkook "I should go back to the couch" Taehyung finally spoke to which Jungkook gripped his wrist "Don't. Who says two friends can't sleep in the same bed, it's not fair you have to sleep on the couch" Jungkook made a fair point and Taehyung nodded while scooting over, his picture clutched to his chest "Jungkook...thank you for this" Taehyung whispered "You're welcome Tae" Jungkook responded with the same hushed tone as he laid down beside Taehyung but facing the opposite way after turning off the lamp
