Izuku stayed asleep for a long time. His body rumbled on top of mine for what felt like an eternity. His soft purrs were music to my ears. I hadn't heard him purr before, and something bout the sound sent waves of comfort and pride that swelled in my soul. Nothing before right now had ever felt so right.
I was afraid to move and wake him from whatever dream had him practically buzzing in my arms. The sounds of soft snores mixed with gentle purring had my eyes falling shut and sleep taking over once again. I woke again when Izuku began to stir in my arms. His eyes squeezed shut as if trying to fight off the morning rays that were pulling us both from a wonderful sleep. When they opened, Izuku blinked and focused on my face. A soft blush rose up his neck as he took in his position.
My Omega was bare, sprawled out on top of me, and wearing the most innocent blush. Memories of last night crept back into my mind as Izuku's body pressed into mine. A satisfied smirk ticked at my lips as my instincts pushed forward to flip my mate over and have him falling apart on my knot all over again. But I decided against that, for now. Instead, I reached out and tenderly brushed his wayward curls away from his face, tucking them behind each of his ears.
"Good morning," I hummed and my smirk only grew when Izuku's chest rattled with a soft purr once again. His eyes widened drastically at the sound his body was creating and he choked it down, forcing it to halt. A low growl hissed past my lips when the sweet sound stopped. "Don't," I grunted and rolled us over, gently caging the greenette beneath my body.
"Katsuki," he squeaked out at my sudden shift.
"Don't hold back your instincts, Izuku. You have no idea how much I hoped I would someday hear you purr for me," I admitted shamelessly. I wanted him to know that I was pleased. His pleasure, his happiness, his comfort were all things I desired to give him. After such a long time of us struggling to find our place in life together, I wanted to soak up every moment I could. I wanted to hear him purr. I wanted to listen to the sounds of his happiness. But most of all, I wanted to make him happy. I had caused him too much pain and it was time for a change.
Izuku's face softened, the blush still coating his cheeks as he stared up at me. I could feel his body heat spike underneath me and I quickly rolled off of him as to avoid nestling between his thighs again when there were other things we needed to do.
"I never thought that would happen," Izuku mumbled while sitting up, tugging the sheets up over his waist. I glanced over at him and frowned at the meaning behind his simple statement. "It's been a long time since I felt this comfortable. I should be glad that my instincts are finally falling back to normal. What kind of Omega doesn't purr? It's like an Alpha who doesn't croon," he rambled nervously but I could see the delight in his features.
"I have no right to take credit for your happiness, Izuku. I'm just glad you're feeling better," I admitted and ran my fingers through my disheveled hair. I smelled heavy of Izuku's scent and relished in every second it lingered on my skin. However, a shower would probably do us both well. Izuku probably needed the hot water and steam more than I did. "How're you feeling?"
