"So, I was lied to. Again." Dewey snapped, glaring at the 'other,' Louie. "I came back cause' I thought Webby was in trouble. Now, you're telling me that it's not just Webby?"
"I figured you'd want the other's safe as well, so I neglected to mention that little detail." The 'other,' Louie replied sheepishly. "Until now." He finished.
"Yeah, in other words, you lied." Dewey snarled. "I see now where Webby got that from. It's so obvious." He rolled his eyes, then looked over at his Webby. "At least you'd never lie to me." He muttered.
Webby gave him a small smile. Then looked over at the 'other,' Huey.
"What kind of trouble did you guys get into, and why didn't you," Webby paused turning to Dewey, "use the Tricker Teaser as soon as you got here?"
"Tricker Teaser?" Huey asked, looking at Dewey as well.
"I, I didn't have time." Dewey stammered, "The Huey Bots were all over me the moment I was shot out of the cake, and, and..." His voice trailed off as he looked over at the 'other,' Louie. "Um, did, did you know that Webby is a princess?" He asked.
The 'other,' Louie blinked then glanced over at Huey.
"Yeah, we knew." The 'other,' Louie said finally. The origninal Louie chuckled softly making Webby look over at him sharply and stomped on his foot.
"Huey told me in his letter." The 'other,' Louie explained as the 'original,' Louie rubbed the top of his foot on the back of his other leg.
"How'd he know?" Dewey asked his eyes, glancing over at Huey.
Huey shrugged.
"Being on the wrong side, you tend to pick up a few things." He explained. "I heard about Webby through Lena -." He stopped and looked over at Webby, who's eyes shown brightly at the mention of her friend. Huey sighed deeply. "Sorry." He said, quickly.
That was the second time he had spoke without considering that other person's feelings. It was getting harder and harder for Huey to keep up with this good guy routine. He was so use to being bad that it was going to take him some time to get use to being good.
"It, It's fine." Webby told him, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. The 'original,' Louie put his arm gently around her waist and pulled her close to him, while glaring at Huey.
Dewey thought he'd take this moment to tell them what happend with him, the robot Huey, and B.O.Y.D.
"I wonder why he'd want you." The 'other,' Louie said, after he was finished. "I mean, it could be just to use you to get to me and Huey," He glanced over at Huey.
"If I know B.O.Y.D, and I do." Huey grumbled. "It's to get his hands on us. Now that he knows Dewey is here, he'd most diffentally be after us now."
"But why?" Webby asked helping the 'other,' Louie up. "Why would B.O.Y.D be after you three?" She saw the 'other,' Louie and Huey glance at each other then looked towards her Louie who was slowly cracking his knuckles and narrowing his eyes at his double, grinding his teeth. "I'd say it has something to do with my Webby. Which is why I hadn't seen or heard from her." The 'other,' Louie said, finally, after a long hard look at the 'original,' Louie. "Besides her being princess, she wouldn't have just run off without a good reason. Espeically after five years." He looked over at Huey, "Have you see her?" He asked. He hadn't seen Huey up until now, since the whole thing went down between them last time.
"N,No." Huey answered. The 'other,' Louie narrowed his eyes at him. "But, I might have an idea on what happened." He added quickly. "But you aren't going to like it."
"I haven't liked anything you had to say since the day Dewey died." The 'other,' Louie shot at him. Huey and the 'other,' Louie stared at each other.
Dewey wedged in between his Louie and Webby nervously. Webby leaned on his shoulder and squeezed his hand as Louie kept glaring at the other two.
"Look, I'm sure with Goldie running this town now, she's got some hold on Webby and is making her doing somethig for her, something big, or has her locked up somewhere so she could be free to keep running this town..."
"I already scooped out the castle." The 'other,' Louie snapped.
"W,wait. What?" Huey asked, his eyes widen. "That was totally dangerous to do on your own!" Huey exclaimed.
"Like you care?" The 'other,' Louie shot back. "You haven't cared about your family for a long time, and I'm not taking about the day Dewey died either!"
They stared at each other for a long time. Huey sighed deeply and pushed his feathers on the top of his head back before saying,
"We really need to talk about that or we'll never get any closure."
"Closure?" The 'other,' Louie repeated. The 'original,' Louie saw his double's eyes glaze over. Was this the evil coming out in him? He had been always branded by his brother's as the evil triplet, which really wasn't that evil. Sure, a few schemes here and there, a couple of cons have build him a reputation of being the 'evil' triplet, to his brothers and he took that to heart in a good way. It told him he was at least good for something.
He glanced over at Webby who looked over at him with her chin on Dewey's shoulder.
Now, he was good enough for someone.
"You wouldn't know closure, Huey, if it bit you in the ass." The 'other,' Louie snarled at him. He walked back to the bar and spun around in the old, rickety stool that wasn't really made for spinning anymore, and it broke making the 'other,' Louie fall hard on the ground.
Huey rolled his eyes and glanced over at Dewey who shrugged as Webby quickly rushed over to him and helped him up.
"Are you drunk?" She asked, studing him. He had left Louie and Webby for a bit while they waited for Dewey to met up with them. It never occured to her that he'd be guzzling down a beer or two in the process.
The 'other,' Louie looked at her blankly and his face turned a deep shade of red and Webby could tell by his dialated pupils that he had.
"Y,you very pretty." He slurred in response.
Webby blushed pink then looked over at her Louie who was grumbling and glaring at his double with his arms crossed.
"I take that as a yes." Dewey said, rolling his own eyes. He brought out the Tricker Teser and handed it to the 'other,' Louie. "Here. I, I don't think I deserve this anymore." He told them. The 'other,' Louie looked at the teaser then at Dewey and shooked his head.
"You keep it." The 'other,' Louie gurggled as he glared over at Huey. "Wouldn't want another dead Dewey on our hands, no would we?" He said.
They all started at him.
"Okay, mister." Webby said, grabbing the 'other,' Louie's arm. "That's where I draw the line." She looked over at the other three. "You guys wait here." She ordered as she started to drag the drunken Louie towards the back where she remembered the kitchen was after her last encounter with her first mocha coffee.
"Where are you going?" Her Louie asked, in a panic tone of voice.
"I'm going to sober him up, before anything else bad happens." Webby told them. "Rather you like it or not," she looked at her Louie, "we're going to need him if we are going to get through this." She said, and marched off towards the back of the room with a slumped Louie on her shoulder.
