"And then I was like Max I know we made out and went on a few dates but, you need to stop calling me like, c'mon he's totes obsessing over me. It's practically stalking." Lauren Kerr went on about her dating life to Ava and I in our
Philosophy class and I've never had such a strong urge to hit someone before in my life.
When Ms.Lincoln, our Philosophy teacher, said we needed to split into small groups to go over yesterday's chapter I partnered with Ava and her friend Lauren, the head cheerleader, and possibly most annoying, self centered person I had ever met.
Don't get me wrong, Lauren was never mean to me. Actually quite the opposite.
When Ava introduced us she was actually ecstatic.
She kept going on about how when her family vacations down in Miami her hair frizzes up and she was dying to know if mine did too.
I know right. Such a deep person.
Anyways I just had no idea anyone could actually talk about their self as much as she does.
I mean doesn't she get bored or does she really just love the sound of her voice?
"Lauren you guys talked for like two months! Of course Max is going to be a little upset." Ava exclaimed slapping Lauren on the shoulder and Lauren only rolled her eyes flipping her long red hair over her shoulder.
"Whatever. I need to do me and Max is making it so difficult." Lauren said like she was a tortured soul.
"Hayley you must know what I'm talking about. After all you're the talk of the school right now. You must have tons of boys crawling at your feet." Lauren looked at me raising an eyebrow and Ava leaned back in her seat crossing her arms against her chest waiting for my answer.
And as I contemplated what Lauren said I honestly didn't feel that way. Yes, today when I walked into school I got a few wolf whistles and a few random guys I didn't know waved to me but, so far no ones fighting for my attention except for Mason, my locker neighbor, who creepily asked what kind of shampoo I used and well maybe Justin but, I can't tell if he's into me or he just likes to flirt.
Then again it's only my second day at North Harbor Academy so who really knows.
And I don't even know why I'm thinking this considering Justin is a member of the 'Trinity' and I have to take him down!
Speaking of which...
"Not really. I mean the only people that have openly flirted with me is this creepy guy that has a locker next to me, Justin Waldecker, and Holden Kane."
"Eww you're Mason Brigg's new locker neighbor. That's so unfortunate for you." Lauren put a hand on my shoulder and I gave a sad half smile in her direction.
"Holden was trying to mack hard." Ava said irritatingly and Lauren raised an eyebrow at her.
"Isn't he always? But, I give the boy props. He's hot and very good at the game." Lauren explained to me and Ava only did a loud laugh in response.
"Or he just thinks he is."
"No he is. What he can do in bed is_"
"_Ewww Lauren no! And besides that happened freshman year. Gross." Ava put her head in her hands and rocked back and forth and Lauren only gave off a self-satisfied smirk.
"Puh-lease Av. It happened summer going into sophomore year. I'm not that big of a skank!" Lauren put a hand on her heart and I grinned. I mean how couldn't I?
