Dare part 2: Partial Nudity and a Fortune Teller's Scrutiny

"This is going to be so stupid."  I groveled as me and Adam waited in line to see Madame Helena to get our fortune read.

"Have you ever had your fortune read before?"  Adam asked as he scrolled through our group message looking where everyone else was in the game.

"Nope.  It's not like it's actually real."  I stated and Adam shrugged.

"Maybe you just don't believe."  He attempted a joke and I gave him look that said, "You cannot be serious?!"

"Where's everyone else in the game?"  I asked changing the subject.

"I think we're the first ones here."  He said enthusiastically and I nodded crossing my arms against my chest.

Finally, something good that's happened tonight.

"Oh wait.  Holden and Ava just sent an audio of them getting their fortunes read.  This is terrible."  Adam said dramatically and I let out a deep breath.

Never mind this night still sucks.

"Madame Helena can see you now."  A small red headed girl that looked to be around 14 came out of the star-like designed tent and waved me and Adam in.

Once we stepped in I had to admit it looked pretty cool.  The whole tent was decorated with a lot of cool looking lights and some creepy portraits that looked like they came out of 16th century England.

In the center of the tent was a circular table with a cliché looking clear globe sitting in the middle.  Off to the right side was a larger looking African American woman with a head-dress and a brightly colored tunic.

And since I had taken two shots before I walked in here I couldn't help but, laugh at the ridiculousness of her outfit.

Adam instantly shot me a dirty look for being "rude" but, c'mon who actually takes this seriously?

"Sit down my children!"  Madame Helena gestured us over and I noticed that Adam had set up an audio recording on his phone and slipped it into his side pocket discreetly.

I'm glad he remember to do that because at this point I was starting to get a little loopy.

We both sat down across from her, Adam fully engaged in the whole thing and me trying to keep in my laughter.

"Give me your hands young lady."  Madame Helena said in some weird accent that I can't even describe.

I did as told and placed my hands in her palms.

"Ahhh you just got back from vacation correct?"  She asked and I raised an eyebrow confused.

Yes, I was tan but, not because I just got back from vacation.  More like I lived in Miami for the past 4 years.

"Oh no, you just moved here."  She said and I smiled.

"How did you know that?"  Adam said in awe and I wanted to slap myself.

Even slightly tipsy me knew that psychics work mainly off of ques.

"Many of years practice my child."  Madame Helena said casually and Adam nodded amazed.

"And you my boy. You are very strong.  You play soccer. No basketball.  No football. You are very talented in football."  She finally finished and I wanted to take her crystal ball and smash my head into it.

"Yes, I'm captain of my high school football team."  Adam said proudly.

"Awe I know.  The spirits just told me that."  She winked.
