Taehyung slowly pulled his life back to normal. Or so he pretended for the sake of his family and friends. There isn't anything he can do about the feelings he has for Jungkook but he's not going to act upon it anymore. Specially since Jungkook called him a nuisance.

He can't really be mad at Jungkook too. it's not his fault. It's not like they were dating and Jungkook broke things off. They are literally strangers.

Taehyung stoped looking at Jungkook in the morning when he went to work but there's nothing he can do about when Jungkook comes for lunch at the diner. It's good to get your daily dose of Jungkook and Taehyung hopes that he'll be able to get over him eventually.

Jungkook is relieved that Taehyung seems to have stoped giving him attention. No matter how much it makes his heart ache, that is what's best for the boy.

One day Jungkook was coming back from work and saw a car stopped on the road and a person looking in to the open bonnet.

"Hey man, you need any help?" Jungkook asked as he stopped his bike near the car.

A handsome man with brown hair peaked from the open bonnet.

"Yes please. I don't know what's wrong with this fu***** car." The man said in a desperate tone.

"Ha ha. Let's see." Jungkook looked in to the bonnet, checking for the issue. "Is this car not used regularly?"

"Uh.. nope. This was actually the first time after a while." The man replied as he scratched his nape with a shy smile.

"I thought so. There was a wire that was slightly loose. Try starting it now." Jungkook said as he pulled back.

A look of relief pass over to the man's face as he was able to start the car successfully.

"Oh God, thanks man. You are my new  hero. I'm Hoseok. Jung Hoseok." Jungkook shook his hand.

"I'm Jeon Jungkook."

"Are you just passing by here or new to the town? I  haven't seen you before."

"I'm new here. I actually moved in about 2 months ago."

"Ah ok. Thank you for helping me out. Let me repay you by treating you to a meal."

"Thay's ok. You don't have to do that man."

"No, I want to. Do you know Mitch's diner?"

"Yeah, I know the place."

"How about we meet there for lunch tomorrow. Say at about 12.30?"

Jungkook thought for a while. It wasn't actually a big deal and he will anyway be having lunch at the said diner every day.

"Ok." Jungkook replied with a smile.

"It's a date." Hoseok said all seriously but burst out in laughter when he saw Jungkook's shocked face.

"I'm kidding man!! Loosen up!!" You look too stiff." Hoseok said as he gave Jungkook a radiant smile and Jungkook couldn't help but smile back either. It was contagious.

,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,,.,.,.

Jungkook came to the diner exactly at 12.30. He went inside, habitually glancing at the counter where Taehyung normally stands but he was not there today.

Jungkook looked around and saw Hoseok, he was talking animatedly with someone. The person had their back to Jungkook but it was not hard to recognise Taehyung.

"Hey Jungkook." Hoseok greeted him as he walks near his table. Jungkook felt uneasy when he saw what he was wearing.

A police uniform.

Jungkook tried not to show any reaction to it as he took the seat opposite Hoseok and Taehyung immediately shifted himself little away from the seat.

"I'll get you your favourite Hobi hyung" Taehyung said as Hoseok gave him a fond smile.

"Thanks Tae bear."

Taehyung then turned to Jungkook.

"C-can I bring you your usual?" Taehyung asked in a cautious voice.

Jungkook looked at the boy for a second. "What's his favourite? Can I try that?"

Jungkook wasn't sure what made him say that. He just wanted few more seconds of Taehyung's time.

"Y-you wouldn't l-like it." Taehyung looked shocked just as the words left his mouth. He looked at Jungkook with fear in his eyes.

Jungkook felt his heart aching at the sight of the scared boy.

"Oh ok. I'll have my usual then."

Taehyung gave a curt nod and practically ran out of there. Hoseok was looking at them with interest.

"Do you know Taehyung?" Hoseok asked from Jungkook.

"Uhh... sort of. I live next door to him." Jungkook replied and Hoseok gave a nod in understanding.

"How do you know him?" Jungkook asked.

"Oh he's the brother of the police chief. Well, brother-in-law actually. And anyway, it's a small town Jungkook. Everyone knows everyone here." Hoseok explained with a smile.

Yep. So it would seem.

When their food arrived, Jungkook immediately realised why Taehyung said that. Hoseok's favourite is a prawn soup.

Jungkook was allergic to prawns. He was sure he never told about it to Taehyung. Or anyone.

Jungkook frowned at the depth of Taehyung's interest in him.

The lunch was very enjoyable. Hoseok was like a walking ray of sunshine. He had an exceptional sense of humour and was funny as fu**. Midway through lunch, Jungkook found himself laughing till his sides were aching.

He hasn't laughed like that in a long time that it almost felt foreign and weird to his body.

He was aware of the increased frequency of looks that Taehyung was giving him too. At first, a smile came to Taehyung's face every time Jungkook laughed as if he was genuinely happy for the other.

But after a while, another emotion took it's place. Jungkook was used to the way Taehyung normally looks at him but the new emotion took him by surprise.

Taehyung was looking at him with jealousy and possessiveness in his eyes and it actually scared Jungkook.

That was the look a person in love would give, to anyone else that comes close to their lover. A look at Yoona used to wear in her face, all the time.

May 20th

I met with my new friend today. Hoseok. He's really a funny guy. You know I haven't laughed like this in a long time Yoona. It felt good. I think I'm gonna like this one. I really really need a friend. I met him at Taehyung's diner. I still don't know why I can't stop going to that place. True, that's the only place good enough to eat here but I don't know whether it's worth the risk. I ask him to stay away from me but it's I think it's me that have trouble staying away from him. I'm trying but looks like I'm falling miserably. And the look that he gave me today. I used to get shit scared when you looked at me like that. That look meant trouble. It's strange to see that on Taehyung's innocent face. Guess he is not as soft as I thought. There is a tiger in him. I hope to God that I won't wake it up.
