34 - The Day It All Fell Apart.

Jungkook looked at the people around him. Taehyung looked kind of annoyed which made Jungkook chuckle a bit. That was not a part he really wanted to tell, for obvious reasons, but it was important in order for them to understand what happened next.

"Wooyoung? From 'the black tigers'?" Namjoon asked in a wary tone.

"Yes. I later learned that Sunghoon tried to merge their gangs together by offering him Yoona as a gift. Which is what made her take... uhh... such extreme measures." Jungkook replied as he glanced at Taehyung who gave a slight huff.

"Extreme measures?? That's one way to put it." Taehyung said with another huff.

Jungkook gently rubbed his boyfriend's hands. "It was not like that baby. Yoona was a hot head, we both were."

Jungkook looked at others who were listening in an intense manner before continuing with the story.

"Yoona was brave, daring and from what I got to know later, was exactly like her brother. I felt uneasy around him but never imagined him to be a mafia boss."

"As it happened, after the death of their father, Sunghoon has inherited all the mafia related businesses while Yoona handled all the white business. She has never wanted to be part of the crime world and worked hard to keep her work separated from that world. But in the end, she just couldn't escape that."

"I notice that my security has been increased but I didn't ask anything from her. After what happened at the party, I assumed that she was worried so I let her do anything she wants to make her feel at peace."

"It happened after about few days from that party. I was sleeping and woke up when I heard people arguing.

I woke up to the sound of people arguing. I stretched my arm on the bed instinctively but I Yoona was not there. I got up from the bed and went in to the living room, where all the noises were coming from. Yoona and her brother was having an shouting match in the middle of the night.

"How dare you? How dare you? I'm not your puppet, Sunghoon. I'll be with whoever I want to. And it's certainly not that bastard Wooyoung."

"You will do as I say Yoona. Don't forget I'm your brother."

"Oh fuck off!! You maybe my brother but you don't get to decide my life for me. Get out of my house."

"So you are refusing to do as I say for this worthless shit?" Sunghoon yelled, pointing a hand at me. "I'll make sure he doesn't see tomorrow's sun. You think you can protect him from me for forever?"

"Don't you dare touch him, or I swear to God!!" Yoona was equally loud.

Suddenly Sunghoon started to laugh. I was suprised and from what I could see, so was Yoona. He laughed for good few minutes before looking at both of us with a murderous glare.

"Well, I really hoped it didn't come to this but you leave me no choice. You of all people should know that I can't have people disobeying me. Goodbye, sister."

Before either of us could do anything, Sunghoon pulled out a gun and shot Yoona. I saw her fall to the ground, just as I ran and managed to catch her before she hit the ground. My world stopped spinning the moment I saw blood on her white nightdress, which I loved so much. But now it's being ruined by the blood stain which kept getting bigger and bigger.

"N-no.. no.. b-baby hold o-on." I muttered something as I pressed on to the bullet wound on her stomach to stop it from bleeding out.

"R-run.. run K-kookie..." she whispered  and I shook my head.

"No.. I'm not leaving you." I said as tears fell down from my eyes.

She looked at me with eyes filled with love and pain. She raised a hand slowly to my face and stroked my cheek gently. I felt something liquid smearing on my face.

"I-i'm s-sorry." She managed to choke out as she coughed out some blood. She gave me one last look of unconditional love, before closing her eyes forever.

I heard a loud scream and realised that it was coming from me. I tightly held her body, rocking it back and forth as I continued to sob in to her hair.

"Well, isn't this heartbreaking!! Time for you to meet her on the other side boy." Sunghoon said as he turned his cold eyes and gun towards me.

I held Yoona's body securely in my arms and gave a a soft kiss on the forehead before closing my eyes. Yes, I'm ready to meet her on the other side. 'Hold on baby, I'm coming.'  I thought with a calmness as I waited for the gun shot.

But instead of the gunshot, what I heard was a loud bang. I snapped my eyes in suprise to see a thick fog covering the place, I couldn't even see a foot in front of me.

Suddenly there was a tag on my arm, someone was pulling me away from the ground where I was sitting. I tried to resist the pull, trying to hold on to Yoona's body, but couldn't.

"Come on!! We gotta hurry." A new voice came from somewhere in front of me but I couldn't see who it was. I could also hear Sunghoon yelling in anger, barking instructions at others.

I let the hand pull me away from the chaos, as my mind was blank from the shock. Once we got in to a clear and lit corridor, I realised the person who was pulling me is Soobin, one of Yoona's trusted assistants. I let the guy drag me wherever he wants.

He pulled me out from a secret exit to a car park and pushed me in to the passenger seat of one of the cars. He quickly ran to the driver's side and got in himself and pressed a button on a remote to open a metal door.

The car went through a tunnel for about 30 seconds before stopping at another metal door, which Soobin opened from the same remort. Once we were in the open, I could see Yoona's house little far away, and none of the Sunghoon's minions has seen us leave.

"This is the escape plane Ms Yoona has prepared, in case anything happened to her." Soobin said without looking at me, as I think he may have felt a need to explain it to me.

I didn't care either way. The love of my life was dead. I don't care whether I escaped or not. I closed my eyes and rested my head on the window and let the tears fall.
