38 - You Don't Have Much Time.

"Why is this counter empty? Where's Tae?" Seojoon asked aloud looking at his staff.

"Don't know, he was there a minute ago." One of them answered with a shrug.

"I think I saw him going outside with that courier guy. Guess he had a package to receive." Another one piped in.

"Really? Ok then." Seojoon said dismissively but looked at the clock too.

He gave it another 5 minutes before going out to check. He couldn't see either Taehyung or any delivery truck and he felt uneasy. Taehyung was not a person that would just leave.

He gave a call to Taehyung's phone. It was ringing but no one answered. Seojoon walked back to the diner to check once more. He checked in the kitchen and even in the bathroom. After thinking for few more minutes, he dialled another number.

"Hello chief Kim, this is Park Seojoon, Taehyung's manager....... Uhhh... well this might be nothing serious but I can't seem to find Taehyung..... yeah he was working here and another staff saw him kind of going outside to accept a couriered package, I think. But he hasn't returned yet and I can't see him outside either....... yeah I tried his phone, it's ringing but no one is answering....... I'm sure it's nothing chief. It's just that Taehyung is not the kind of a guy to leave without telling me........ok chief, I'll do that. Thanks. Please let me know if you contact him..... yes..... Thank you." Seojoon kept the phone, hoping that he's just overreacting and that everything is ok.

Yugyeom was working on a computer when his shop's phone rang. He quickly answered it.

"Hello, this is the-oh hello chief Kim, how can I help you?...... Jungkook?? Uhhhh no. He's not here. I'm waiting for him to return too........ well I don't know. He got a call and went out...... I don't know from whom....oh wait!! He did say a name. Now what was it? Seojoon.. no..Sungjoon..... yeah, that's it, Sunghoon. Guess you know the guy....uhhh... chief Kim, are you there? Hello??....o-oh ok, I'll let you know if he comes or call. Is everything ok, chief Kim?... Alright chief, I'll call you if there is any news. Bye."

Yugyeom kept the phone but his heart was filled with dread. Something seems to be really wrong.

Namjoon fell to his chair after that call with Yugyeom. Yoongi and Hoseok stood near his desk with anxious faces. Namjoon ran a hand over his face before looking at his two most trusted members.

"He's got them." Namjoon said in a tortured voice.

"Shit!!" Yoongi swore loudly while Hoseok ran a hand through his hair in despair.

"I'll try to see if we could track either of their phones, but that's highly unlikely. Yoongi and Hoseok, get two teams out and canvas the areas near the tech shop and diner. Find someone who saw something. We need to hurry!!" Namjoon said in a commanding tone and both Yoongi and Hoseok ran out of the office.

Namjoon called one of his friends in the cyber department and asked for a favour. When he told the guy that it was his brother-in-law that was missing, his friend immediately tried to locate the phone. But both the phones were switched off so they couldn't get a location.

The last call seems to have taken from one phone to another so that was another dead end. Namjoon thanked his friend and asked him to keep checking and let him know if they could get some lead.

Hoseok and Yoongi reported after about half an hour with nothing. No one has seen either Taehyung or Jungkook or anything suspicious at all. It was not a suprise actually, considering this is a small village and not many people were around.
