I climbed out of my window as silently as I could, trying not to hit anything on the way out. I stepped into the cold grass and took out my phone to call Niall after remembering that I didn't have my own car and I couldn't use my parents' because it'd be way too obvious.

I dialed his number and after 2 rings he picked up.

"Yeah?" I heard coming from his end of the line.

"Umm.. I kinda forgot that I don't have a car just quite yet.." I quickly said into the phone. I heard a chuckle come from his side and then silence for about 5 seconds.

"Uhh, hold on I'll come and get you."

"With what?" I asked.

"My car.. duh." He laughed into the phone.

"Wait, you had a car and didn't even bother to tell me? You don't even come to school in it! I don't believe you." I said.

"Well I don't usually drive it around unless I absolutely have to, Bailie.. You see, I'm not exactly what you'd call a 'good driver'. Besides, haven't you seen the car in my drive way the last few times that you've been over?" He asked.

"Um, yes? I don't know.. I guess I saw it and didn't really think about who's it was.." I trailed off.

"Hah, well, okay, I should probably come and get you.. Where's your house at?" He asked me.

"I'll text you my address, okay? Just hurry, it's cold outside." I said.

"Got it!" and then he hung up.

I pulled my phone away from my head and began to type in my address so that I could text it to Niall. After I sent the message, I put my phone in my coat pocket and then sat down against my little sister's playset that was in the front yard, and waited for him to come.
