Hermione was sitting in the common room annoyed at harry. She heard harry and ron coming inside. She quickly took a book and started reading it. Ron and harry came inside discussing about the second task. Ron signalled him to ask hermione."ohh harry i think i forgot something i will just go back ok" saying this ron went away. "Hi hermione" said harry. "What is it" asked hermione plainly." I m going to hogsmeade would u like to come with me" asked harry. Hermione stared at him for a minute then nodded. Harry smiled at her and went to ron to tell him. Harry and hermione went to hogsmeade. "So have u figured out about the second task" asked hermione."not yet" said harry with a sigh."umm hermione u know about the yule ball right...so i just wanted to ask if u can come with me as my partner...only if u r willing..i understand if u r not" said harry. Hermione glared at him."u know what u r too late someone has already asked me and i said yes" said hermione in a angry voice. Saying this she went away leaving harry. Harry was upset. He went back to the castle and told ron everything. It was the day of yule ball. Harry wore dress robes which sirius had gifted him."oh harry u r looking great i bet all the girls will swoon over u" joked ron."u r also looking umm..unique" said harry. They both went to the yule ball. Harry chose parvati as his partner. He looked at hermione who was coming down towards him."she's looking so beautiful" harry said to himself."herm.." Harry tried to call hermione but she walked past him to victor. Harry danced with parvati for a while then sat with ron in a corner. After the ball they started going back to their dormitaries. "Next time just gather the courage and ask me before anyone else could...u just ruined everything" hermione yelled at harry. Harry was confused."what was that for if u wanted to come with me then why did u said yes to him" said harry in a harsh tone. "Just go away harry..go" said hermione holding back a sob. Harry went back to the dormitory. After sometime he started feeling guilty for yelling at hermione like that."it was my fault i think i should have asked before" harry muttered to himself then went to the common room to find hermione sitting there looking upset. He sat next to her."not able to sleep" asked harry. Hermione nodded without looking at him. Harry sighed."look i m sorry i should have..". "I m sorry too i shouldn't have yelled at u" said hermione cutting off harry. "It's still not over" said harry in a whisper. Hermione looked at him in confusion. Harry took her hand and made her stand infront of him."harry what.." Hermione was cut off as harry put his finger on her lips. Her heart was beating rapidly. Harry gently put his hands on her waist and they both started dancing.

"see i fixed it for both of us" said harry smiling at her. "Now i think i m forgiven" said harry. Hermione nodded. She hugged harry and harry returned the hug. They separated still looking at each other. Their lips were only an inch apart. They were slowly coming closer. Their lips touched but they separated quickly. They looked at each other hesitantly.They sat on the couch for a moment and then fell asleep there only. Hermione was the first to wake up. She saw harry sleeping on the couch. She smiled to herself then told ron to wake him up. Ron woke up harry and they both went for their defense class."christmas is coming harry" said ron excitedly. Harry nodded smiling at him."what r ur plans" asked ron."well not much just spend some good time with sirius and remus" said harry.
