Harry woke up in the morning to see sirius sitting next to him on his bed. Harry smiled at him. "Morning sirius" said harry rubbing his eyes."morning harry now get ready quickly breakfast is about to be ready." Said sirius standing up from the bed."ya" said harry getting down from the bed.
Harry got ready and went downstairs for the breakfast. "Morning remus" said harry sitting on the table."good morning harry" said remus serving him the breakfast."so u cooked the breakfast today" said harry."ya i can't let sirius to cook and burn the whole house down" said remus smirking at sirius. Harry chuckled."ya i agree i have some bad cooking skills" said sirius smiling. "U should have asked me for help" said harry."no harry it's totally fine" said remus serving food for sirius and himself."it's absolutely delicious remus" said harry to which remus smiled at him. They ate in silence. "So i will not be able to stay here for this week as full moon is near. " said remus breaking the silence. Both sirius and harry looked sad."i will come before the trial" added remus after seeing their faces."but u can also stay here only in the basement" said sirius. "No way sirius i can't take the risk. Last time i have had attacked harry." Said remus sadly."remus how many times i have to repeat that it's not ur fault. And it was just a minor injury. I have had worse. And u know what u should not be ashamed of urself being a werewolf it's just a furry little problem" said harry smiling at remus."u r absolutely right james" said sirius quickly. For a split of second both sirius and remus thought that these words were coming from James. James used to say the same words. Harry looked at sirius confusingly."i mean harry" corrected sirius with a sigh. Harry looked a bit hurt."Ur father used to say the exact words harry" said remus. "By the way thnku harry but i have to go now" saying this remus went to his room to pack his trunk. Both sirius and harry sat in silence as remus came down with his trunk ."ok then see u two later" said remus."take care remus and i will accompany u one day before the full moon i can't leave u alone" said sirius "no sirius there is no need" said remus though he wanted sirius company but he was worried for harry."u can't leave harry alone" continued remus. Sirius looked at harry "no i will be fine i can stay alone for 2 days that's not a big deal" said harry quickly. "See harry is fine with that and now u can't convince me with any other reasons." Said sirius. Remus nodded with a sigh and harry gave remus a smile. Remus smiled back.With this remus left.
Sirius went to the kitchen to do the dishes and prepare for lunch."do u need any help" asked harry."no absolutely not" said sirius quickly."r u sure u can make the lunch coz.."."heyy" sirius interrupted harry and glared at him."ok then i m in my room completing my homework if u need any help just call me" saying this harry went to his room and closed the door. He took out his potions homework. Damn snape who the hell gives this much homework thought harry angrily. He started writing the assignments.His attention was drawn by a burning smell. He panicked. He ran downstairs to see sirius extinguishing the fire."i didn't knew that remus was this much serious" said harry."umm sometimes mistakes happen" said sirius. Harry smiled slightly but then he saw that sirius hands were burnt too."sirius ur hand" said harry immediately grabbing sirius hand and looking at the burn."it's just.." Sirius was interrupted as harry dragged him to the couch and made him sit on the couch. Sirius forgot about the burn and was grinning at Harry's concern for him. He cares about me thought sirius happily. "It must be hurting a lot i know the pain" said harry as he applied mint ice cubes on his burn. "Thnx kiddo" said sirius smiling."don't thank me just don't try cooking ever again" said Harry with a little chuckle.
"So now u sit here and i will make the lunch" said harry as he went to the kitchen.Sirius sat on the table and watched harry. Sirius was getting bored by the silence so he started a conversation."so tell me about ur first two years at school harry" said sirius excitedly. Harry looked at sirius for a while."well it was like..u..if i talk about the main highlights then in the first year i stopped voldemort from getting the philosphers stone and in the second year i went to the the chamber of secrets to save ginny and there i met a sixteen year old voldemort and slayed a bassilisk and then finished voldemort by destroying tom riddles diary." Said harry in a very calm voice while cutting the vegetables."u slayed a bassilisk and had already defeated voldemort 3 times counting the first encounter. U r wonderful harry" said sirius both shocked and proud."Thnx but it's not actually that great coz i nearly died doing these wonderful things" said harry at which sirius frowned. Harry smirked at this. Harry told him about how hagrid came his quidditch matches teachers and everything as he completed making the lunch."lunch is also ready" said harry as he started serving it on the plate.
They started eating silently. Sirius was looking at harry only. His eyes fell on Harry's wrists which had tie marks on them. He knew that what caused those. Damn those stupid filthy muggles thought sirius angrily. He calmed himself and before he could say something harry stood up as he finished his lunch. "Harry wait" said sirius as he saw harry was going upstairs."what happened sirius do u need any help in doing the dishes." Said harry coming back towards sirius." No u dont need to do anything as u have already cooked lunch i just wanted to talk to u can u wait for me on the couch." Said sirius quickly. Harry stared at sirius for a minute then he replied "fine" with a shrug as he sat on the couch.
Sirius came and sat on the couch beside harry. There was awkward silence."umm harry what happened to ur wrist" asked sirius gently."it's nothing" harry said quickly." Truth harry" said sirius sitting in front of harry on his knees. Harry looked at sirius. He knows already he had seen them before as snuffles. He knows what had caused them. Harry stared down with his head in his hands "why r u asking if u already know" said harry in a frustrated tone. Sirius just looked at harry with concern. He started unfolding Harry's sleeves to see the wounds. Harry pulled his hands back."harry i just want to see them so that i can heal them dont u trust me" said sirius in a hurt voice. Harry looked at sirius surprisingly."no i trust u with my life" said harry very quickly. Sirius smiled at this."but i just don't want u to see them i don't want u to be sad" said harry in a slow voice without looking at him."don't worry about me and just let me see them" said sirius. Harry nodded and unfolded his sleeves to expose his hands which were covered with burn marks,tie marks and cuts. Sirius looked at them with horrified expression. "Does it hurt" asked sirius in a gentle voice."no not much .....i m used to it" said harry in saying the last part in a slow voice. But sirius heard them. He stood up and went outside to bring the healing salve. He came back with it. He started applying them to Harry's cuts which were still raw. Harry winced with pain but didn't made a noise. Sirius stopped when harry winced. He looked at him and harry just smiled at him to tell that he was fine. He tried to smile back but it turned into a grimace. He continued applying them. He was surprised by Harry's high pain tolerence. "Now u will be fine" said sirius as he finished."umm thnx" said harry."anytime pup" said sirius smiling at him. I will never let harry go back there.. Sirius thought to himself."So what do u want to do now" said sirius to lighten the mood as he was not liking the serious expression on Harry's face."umm i dont know u suggest" said harry with a shrug."lets play wizard's chess" said sirius excitingly "great idea" said harry happily. They played chess for a long time and then sirius won the game."no it's not fair why do i lose everytime" said harry and sirius laughed at this "coz nobody can beat me" said sirius smirking. Harry smiled at him. Suddenly Harry's scar gave a sharp sting but it faded very quickly. A soft noise escaped harry as he felt the sudden pain. "What happened pup" asked sirius worryingly."nothing " harry lied as ge doesn't wanted sirius to be worried. "I will just go in my room i have to complete my assignment." Saying this harry quickly went to his room as he saw sirius looking at him suspiciously. He closed the door and laid on his bed. He sat up and started completing his assignments.
It was late evening and harry thought he should go down to start preparing dinner. He went down to see sirius reading a letter."what is it" asked harry. "It's dumbledore's letter the trial has been preponed to 31st July" said sirius sadly."that's great the sooner the trial the sooner u will be free what r u sad about" asked harry confusingly."but it's ur birthday harry and it's ur first birthday with me and it will be ruined." Said sirius throwing the letter on the table. "Sirius it will not be ruined u will be free and what else could be a better gift for me than this and we can celebrate my birthday and ur winning together" said harry placing a hand on sirius shoulder."what if i lost it" said sirius childishly."u will not..i know u will not fate cannot be that cruel to me can it be...dont worry u will absolutely win the trial" said harry giving sirius a warm smile. Sirius just hugged harry which harry returned back."i just hate it how u sound more like a adult than me it seems like we swapped roles" said sirius smirking. Harry smirked back."and i also don't like the fact that u r so much selfless and caring. U don't even think about urself just think about others. U r too good for this world i think...u r so precious and i love u harry" said sirius . these words filled harry with the sensation of love and affection. No one had never told him this. He smiled and his eyes were glistening"i love u too siri" said harry hugging him more tightly. They separated after a while. "Now i think i should prepare for dinner" said harry going towards kitchen "i will help u with it" said sirius following harry. They started working."u know u were so cute as a baby u know the first word u said was dad but it was directed towards the wrong person. U called me dad instead of james. He pretended to be mad.But he was rather happy about this" said sirius chuckling. Harry blushed and smiled." On ur first birthday i have gifted u a small broomstick and moony had gifted u a sweater do u remember" said sirius excitedly."ya moony told me about this" said harry smiling at sirius. They cooked dinner talking like that.
They spent the whole week laughing and enjoying. It was the happiest week for harry. Sirius and harry bonded very well. Their bond was more like friends than godfather and godson. They pranked each other and even had water fights. And the whole week passed in laughters and smiles.
