|Hope's POV|
"What?" I hear two familiar voices utter at the door in unison. Mitch and I whip our heads around to see none other than Tyler and Jason standing in our presence. Lovely.
"Y-you never liked me?" Jason stutters, his lip quiver making my heart drop with every second that passed. I sat slowy on the bed, becoming interested in my hands resting in my lap.
"And you l- love me?" Tyler finishes the question that was at one point confusing to the world. "
"That's my cue..." I hear a third voice say. I felt a burst a wind blow past me, and foots steps scattering out of the room in a hurry. I looked up only to find that Mitch wasn't occupying the space next to me anymore.
"You love me, Hope?" Tyler repeats himself. I mentally flicked him on the forehead. Really? He was going to do this right now in front of Jason? For Christ's sake I already felt bad enough.
"Tyler..." I whispered, flicking my eyes over to Jason who stood awkwardly, unmoving as he leaned against the door frame.
"Don't worry about it. I was just leaving. I think I heard Adam..." Jason trailed off as he stalked away, slamming the door shut behind. Rather loudly if I might say.
"Hope," Tyler stares at me, anticipating an answer. I guess I couldn't exactly kick him out, considering that this was technically his room as well. Finally getting the chance, I flicked him on the forehead, leaving a large red mark in the center. "What was that for?" he yelled, and I bit my lip so I wouldn't laugh.
"Did you forget that Jason was right there? Don't be an jerk!" I smirked, standing up and walking up to Tyler.
"Ah, who cares," Tyler rolls his eyes continuing to rub his supposed throbbing forehead.
"Don't say that. He's your friend. No matter what you two have been through. Don't let me get in the way," I reason with him. This grudge was still hanging over Tyler's head, and he needed to snap out of it. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I never even came to this school in the first place.
"I know. I'm sorry." I shake my head, not bothering to hide my smile anymore as I hugged Tyler, feeling his arms wrap around my wasit and hold me against him keeping me feeling safe and sound. "You never answered my question. He picks he head up looking down at me with serious eyes.
I nodded after a minute, wondering how I could possibly go aboutbthis situation. "Of course I do Tyler. After everything we've done, everything we've been through, I know for sure that I love you now." I glance at him, looking his face up and down. "No matter how much of an annoying jerk you were and still are."
He laughs, and pulled me into him again. "I love you too, Hope." he answers without hesitation.
"I'm happy to hear that."
I felt Tyler's hands move securely to my hips as mine rested on his strong chest. His eyes flick down from my eyes to my lips, pulling me even closer to him, closing the space in between us. He kiss my forehead, moving down my temple, and and my cheek. Slowly, he kissed my nose, the right corner of my mouth, teasing me.
After giggling for a moment, his lips finally pressed on to mine, the place I have desired. His lips were soft and fit perfectly with mine. I moves my hands to his neck, and we stayed like that for who knows how long.
And everything felt right.
***
"Hope," I feel someone whisper against my ear. "Hope. Wake up!" My eyes slowly flutter open, coming face to face with... Mitch? What was he doing in here? And how long has he been here?
"What?" I groan, sittiing in an up right position stretching my arms out. I look behind Mitch to see Tyler propped up in his bed as well, watching Mitch and I interact.
"Jason wants to talk to you," Mitch concluded his thoughts standing up. I hastily got out of the bed.
"Okay, but can you leave please? I need to get changed," I complain, annoyed that Mitch felt the need to wake me up.
"Sure. But," Mitch looks behind him. "You're going to let Tyler be here?" I roll my eyes, scoffing and Mitch and shoving him lightly out of my way.
"What?" Tyler suddenly adds into our conversation once he heard his name involved. He was too distracted by his phone. Probably playing Minecraft or tweeting. Whatever his usually does with his life.
"Tyler, you leave to," I say directly to him.
"Aw," he complains, and I throw a pillow at him.
"Both of you leave!" I yell opening the door for them and basically forcing them out.
"Fine," he sighs.
"Mitch, tell Jason to meet me cafe, please?" I ask before shutting the door. He nods at me, and is the first to exit the room. I'm surprised by a sudden kiss on my cheek from Tyler and the door shuts behind him.
Shaking my head, I slip on a green t-shirt with dark jeans and my flip flops before grabbing my phone and rushing to the cafe.
I'm surprised to see Jason already at a table with coffee already waiting for me in an empty seat next to him. It was sweet gestures like these that made me feel even more guilty. "Hey Jason," I wave, taking the seat nect to him and sipping at my scolding hot coffee.
"Hope," he nods, though it wasn't much of a greeting if you ask me.
"Listen," I say, nervousness showing in my shaking voice. "I'm really sorry about yesterday."
Jason huffs loudly. You could tell that he was truly frustrated. "I just don't understand."
"Jason-" he cuts me off.
"It just seemed like you really liked me. I believed it myself." he shakes his head, squeezing his cup in his hand. His knuckled were white.
"I know, and I'm sorry for that. I-"
"No," he interrupts once again. "Don't say it. I don't to hear it," I bite my tongue knowing that I was going to say it anyway.
"I love you, Jason. So much you have no idea. I love you as my best friend. Someone I can count on. And I'm sorry, but nothing more than a best friend. Actually, more like a brother. And if you care about me, then you'll accept that fact." I say, word vomit spilling from my mouth. I was fuming, and I didn't know how to reason with him.
"I understand," is all Jason said before standing abruptly from his chair, bot even bothering pushing his chair back in. He threw out his coffee before leaving the cafe, even though he didn't drink any of it.
I didn't think I be able to drink mine either as I felt actual vomit creeping it's way up my stomach.
