Chapter 8 - "Hooded Figure"

I sat on the bed in a room where the king has put me in. I was the only one to get a room all to myself. I didn't mind though, no chaos happening, unlike earlier.

I stared at the chandelier which was above my bed that I'm currently laying on. Thoughts and theories going through in my mind.

The descendants of the gifted... But out of all the creatures in this world. It had to be me, huh? I also know for a fact, that human isn't normal like other humans act.

I half-heartedly chuckle as flashbacks came flushing on my mind. Thick sweat Came down my face while panting heavily feeling uneasy.

I bolted up from the bed and quickly left the room. I looked around to see the hallway is very silent and empty. Oh well, It's almost midnight after all.

I silently started exploring the kingdom which led me to the garden. Making sure not to wake up anyone.

Quite a beauty isn't it? Looked like nature made this garden breathtaking. I saw a lot of small flowers scattered around so I decided to pick them up gently, one by one.

I went to a small pond that is connected to the fountain and let my feet down touching the cold water. I cupped the small flowers I collected and slowly placed them in the water with a smile.

It was very pretty.

I suddenly heard faint footsteps coming from the stairs. I held out my claws ready for defense, who knows if it's an intruder?

I tip-toed to look up the stairs to see a hooded figure with a cape quickly walking up to the stairs at a very quick pace. I followed it revealing the upper part of the garden.
