Alex's phone alarm went off at 6:50 am, I don't know why I had agreed to travel so early, I rolled over in bed just as Alex was reaching out to turn it off. She was lying on her stomach, her back was bare and her hair wild. I turned and laid on her, my chest on her back, I could perceive my shampoo in her hair from the shower we had last night, that was a great shower! Alex groaned as she felt my weight on her, but she immediately began to enjoy the touch of my bare breasts on her back.

"Alex, it's way too early, I don't want to go, is it too late to change our minds?" I said as I kissed her on the shoulders and at the base of the neck.

"You can sleep on the road, I'll be your pillow if you want" she said moving sideways to make me fall next to her and kiss me.

"Good morning, beautiful"

"Good morning, hot stuff" I said as my eyes closed.

"Come on Emma, we are going to be late, I don't want them to leave without us and then drive there," Alex said, getting up from the bed and going to the bathroom.

"Fiiine, I'm going to make coffee"

When we got to the building, Ana and Andrew were putting their bags in the Jeep, I parked my car behind them and we got bags. Ana turned around and looked at me crossing her arms with her eyebrows up and her eyes wide, my brain was still half asleep, so I did not understand her reaction, as we approached, Andrew turned to greet us and help us with the suitcases.

"Alex, where is your car?" Andrew said looking behind my car. Ohhhhh I understood, I looked at Ana who looked at me with a sideways smile, amused to see what I was going to say.

"Uhh, I picked her up, so we didn't leave both of our cars here" I said before Alex could say anything.

Andrew was driving and they were talking, I couldn't help but feel like something was bothering me, I don't know why I felt the need to hide from others what was happening with Alex, maybe it was because I had just finished a long relationship or maybe because Alex was a girl and that was totally new to me, or maybe it was because it was my best friend's sister, my almost sister's almost husband, what if things ended up badly with us and my relationship with my best friends was going to suffer. Then, Ana was going to have to choose between inviting her sister-in-law or her best friend, that feeling terrified me. How would Andrew react, being one of Jordan's best friends, what Jordan have said to Andrew? What if he made me look like the bad guy, and if he then found out that his beloved sister was dating me, the girl that broke his best friend's heart? Without realizing it, I had blocked the conversation from the car, looking out the window completely focused on my inner monologue, I felt Alex's hand on mine and I shuddered.

"Are you ok?" she said to me with her lips without saying the words. I nodded and smiled at her.

It was around 12:30 when we arrived to Ana's parents, Andrew made a very good time considering that we stopped for breakfast.

"Emma, sweetie, how nice to see you!" Ana's mother told me as she hugged me warmly, her hugs always felt warmer than my own mother's hugs, she pulled away with her hands still on my shoulders to look me up and down before attracting me in a hug again "You are prettier than ever, Annie told me about the recognition the hotel gave you, we are very proud of you dear" she ran her hands up and down my back to make me feel her affection. Although she has never told me, I know that she has always felt bad because of the emotional neglect my mother subjected me to and every time she sees me she tries to fill those holes with affection.

"Thank you Maggie, I am very happy to see you again too" I said warmly before approaching Nicholas, Ana's father to give him a hug.

After all the hugs and kisses, Ana took us to the second floor to drop off our bags. Alex stayed in the room she was going to stay in, the one that was once Jeremy's, Ana's older brother who now lived in Germany and I was given Ana's old room. Andrew and Ana stayed at the little pool house.
